Challenge Corner was created ten years ago in 2014, to provide a vehicle for interesting and unusual challenges, not necessarily restricted to ScienceFiction.

The very first one was the Grand Prix Challenge. As the title states this was a Grand Prix, a race if you will, to gather points by writing awesome stories from given prompts.
* There were 12 rounds
* The prompts ranged from pictures, quotes, music, word count (between 100 characters and 2000 words) or a combination of all 4 within a given time frame.
* The winner was the person with the highest score after all rounds were complete.

Off the Rails was another multi-tiered contest that allowed contestants to race to the finish line by completing a multitude of challenges in 10 rounds with a cumulative point score.

Another challenge of particular interest, was the The Team Up Challenge
The Team Up Challenge was a unique contest in which participants teamed up in groups of four to write four 1k stories within a set of prompts per each team.

Earlier this year, in 2024, due to administrative changes in Wattpad, Challenge Corner left the Ambassador fold and became a Community run profile.
Currently, we sponsor the SciFriday Challenges, science fiction short story challenges, but we may venture forth into other challenges if the interest is there.
