WELCOME

Welcome to The Sword and the Swordmaster, My name is Joseph Hill, but honestly, I get a lot of variations that I really don't mind whether that be: Jo, Joe, Hill. Call me what you like!

Now before we get started with the actual book I'd like to go through some things!

This is my first draft, there will be errors that I have overlooked in editing. Since I have already released the Prologue, Chapter One, Two, Three and Four, I'm going to put a warning here saying that I'm going to be writing the rest of the book before publishing.

Feel free to comment if you see a mistake or error, it helps massively and makes editing so much easier!

GENERAL NOTE

The current state of the chapters that have already been released are subject to change, and since I last updated this book, have changed drastically. I've been working on the world for this book for some time and have once again started to flesh out the story- improving it tenfold from it's original storyline.

INSPIRATION

Honestly, the inspiration behind this book came from other authors works, such as J.R.R. Tolkien and his works, J.K. Rowlings and her Harry Potter books, and Terry Goodman and his 'The Sword of Truth' series (which is a heavy inspiration of this prequel).

It shouldn't but if this book clashes with any other authors work please contact me (PM) and we will resolve the issue.

SUMMARY

A stubborn youth and an ancient hero must develop an unlikely relationship to prevent a long-prophesied evil from returning.

A young blacksmithing apprentice, Richard has spent years training and honing his skill. He never longed for a life of adventure, but it still called. When an old, decrepit hero arrives in his time of need, Richard must put his past behind him and become the Swordmaster's apprentice.

Can this new hero regain a lost power? Or will it forever be lost to the fear of the people? Can this new evil be stopped before it once again threatens the very existence of the world?
