"I know I'm crazy. Look, we're together now so what do I have to worry about, Jerr?"

"Weell, Alison?"

"I'm firing her"

Jerry gasps, "When? Surely not at the dinner thing you're going to.."

"No, that's too dramatic. Maybe tomorrow. I'm here for two more days, I want her off my back ASAP"

I was meeting up with Taylor and her crew again with my own. She really wanted to properly meet everyone again. I was just nervous about how things would go.

"Does Mum know?"

"...I haven't told her yet. I'm sure she won't mind"

"Hardly. After Taylor left for America she was all she talked about. Her cooking, craft work, everything. She'd be more than thrilled"

"In that case, I want you to tell her"

"Me?"

"She's going to be thrilled. Then it won't matter who tells her"

"Fine, whatever. Be careful tonight"

"I will...one more thing"

"What?"

"James is coming"

Jerry's silent.

"Oh, my god", she sighs.

"He flew over! And Ali invited him to dinner. He's doing something with his photography over in Boston but he's visiting for a bit before he goes there"

"And what are you gonna talk about?? How nice it is now that you're not in a relationship with him and that you like girls now and how he means nothing to you-"

"I dunno! Pray for me", I say with an eye roll.

"You bet I will. Alright I gotta go. Best of luck"

"Later"

I look in the mirror one last time. The dark circles under my eyes? Almost completely gone! It's like Taylor brought some sort of soothing aura to me while she was around and it stayed there after she left. There's a knock at the door.

"Ells? I need your opinion on something", Taylor calls from the hall.

I open the door for her. She walks in wearing a beige dress that flows behind her when she walks. White heels, pearls, hair tied up in an old Hollywood style do.

"You look amazing", I breathe.

"Do I? I feel like I wear this one too much. And I dunno if pearls look good on me"

"Taylor, stop. You look beautiful", I smile.

"Thank you!...You're not dressed yet"

I stood in my bathrobe.

"Help me", I sigh.

Taylor immediately looks at the clock and then to my wardrobe.

"We've an hour, not so bad. Ok, what do you have?", she asks as she she opens the wardrobe doors. She then turns to me with a very "done" look. "You're not wearing black"

"I have other colours!"

"What other colours?"

"...You know....um....coal"

"COAL?"

"Ok! Not a lot in there. But in my suitcase there's-"

Taylor ignores the rest of my sentence and rushes over to my suitcase.
