*Kayla's POV*

I finish inventory and pop out of the tent. I leave Melissa who has to give the report in then go to a coffee shoppe close to the venue.

"You made it" Jacky smiles I nod sitting down next to him with my cup.

"I was afraid you wouldn't" he smiles "since you don't talk much... I never know"

"I have gone on dates before" I sip at my tea

"It speaks!" he jokes

I try to give him a polite smile but I haven't really had much practice.

*Melissa's POV*

"Give me a chance" Ronnie begs

"A chance for you to groap me again?" I groan

"Totally sober" he holds his hands up defensively. "Just one dinner and if you still hate me I'll never ask again"

"Promise?"

"Boy Scouts honor"

"I couldn't picture you as a Boy Scout" I chuckle

"Never" he laughs. "Anyways. I'm taking you out tonight for a fancy dinner"

"Sweet. Let me go get dressed" I say not wanting to be in these sweaty clothes anymore.

*Kayla's POV*

"Really?" I laugh at the thought of Jacky ever wearing nerdy glasses

"Don't sound so surprised. I haven't been a rockstar since birth"

I Squeeze his hand slightly in response. He drops my hand opening the bus door for me.

"Thanks" I mumble seeing that Melissa isn't in the bus.

"She's out" Max says vaguely

I nod. She's probably doing shopping.

I take my blanket off the couch and wrap myself up in it and watch Jacky pop in a comedy movie. He wraps his arms around me and we start laughing at the odd man on screen.

"Kayla" Melissa says with a smile. I quickly separate from Jacky. "Hey, don't stop on my account. Happiest I've seen you in a long time"

She takes off her heels as Ronnie kisses her from behind on the neck. "Stop it" She smacks him playfully. "I'm going to bed, and Jacky. Thank you"

Jacky nods and Ronnie follows Melissa, assuming to get lucky but she is having none of that. Jacky chuckles a bit at the sight of Ronnie pouting.

"I'm going to see what that was all about" I tell Jacky.

"Have fun." he smiles, I could feel his eyes as I walked to the back and slid into Melissa's bunk, but I didn't dare look back.

"I bet you want to talk about you and Jacky"

I shake my head no.

"Me and Ronnie?"

I shake my head yes.

"Nothing really....he kept bothering me so I gave in."

I look at her knowing there is more.

"And he's actually kind of desent."

I rub her shoulder happily.

"and there might be another date" she smiles sheepishly. "Enough about me, what happened between you and Jacky?"

I shrug.

"Okay, let me guess you started crying and he comforted you."

I shrug again leaving it open ended.

"I mean I know you like each other but are you really ready?"

"Are you asking me or you?" I ask

She looks at me astonished.

I shrug for a third time before leaving to my bunk. True I didn't talk much during our date but Jacky didn't seem to mind. He told me about himself and I added things every now and again, plus I laughed more than anytime this past year. Maybe I should be ready to move on.

I couldn't sleep, probably how excited i was. I kept practicing my smile, I should try talking too every now and again. I wander out to the vacant lounge and sat on the couch after making myself some hot cocoa, just like my mom would when I couldn't sleep.
