AU• camping
We all get our parents to drop us off at Shannon's house at 6 am. We have all the camping stuff we need and Shannon has provided us with an RV. This is the first time we will be going somewhere out of Aylmer together as a group of friends. Everyone is either extremely excited or extremely tired. At about 6:30 Jillian becomes the last one to arrive. We pack all the stuff into the vehicle and our parents hug us all goodbye. Shannon has an extra large Tim Hortons coffee in her hands, is wearing baggy grey sweats and a purple hoody. She looks awake but has bags under her eyes and wears a disgruntled look on her face. Shannon's mother has the exact same look that Shannon is wearing. Jessica is in a similar attire but looks more rested than Shannon. She wears an expression that say "I slept at least 9 hours". Jessica's mom I smothering her in kisses and advising her to take care of her friends and to make sure they don't get lost. Nicole is wide awake wearing sone knee high shorts and a normal T-shirt. Nicole's mother is looking the opposite as Nicole; she is tired and in her pyjamas. She's smiling and is jumping around like a kangaroo. Jillian is almost the same as Nicole but she's not as jumpy. She's wearing some workout shorts and a normal hoodie, she's trying to start a conversation with Shannon which is going absolutely nowhere. Eve is wearing bright pink sweats and a baggy tee, holding a coffee cup with tea inside. She looks annoyed by Nicole and Jillian and looks a bit grumpy as she takes a huge gulp. Her mom left as soon as she dropped Eve off at the house. Sophie is wide awake but more reserved and relaxed. She's wearing some spandex leggings and a normal sweater. She's holding a coffee cup but is drinking water instead. She and her father are whispering to each other gossip about her friends. Mia is wearing her Nike Pros and holding a water bottle will looking tired but excited. Her mom is asking health questions and making sure she has everything. Hannah is wearing purple sweats and a grey hoodie whilst holding at least five different maps. She looks stressed and tired as she tries to take in everything her mother is saying.
After everyone says goodbye to their parents and exchange "I love you"'s, "don't forget to call"'s and "just leave already!"'s they all get into the vehicle and Shannon starts the RV. Eve, Mia, Hannah and Jillian all go to the back where the beds are to continue their sleeping they had to interrupt earlier that morning. Nicole goes to the front and sits in the passenger seat with Shannon and starts to make extremely heavy conversation about death. Jessica and Sophie start to make small talk about what their gonna do when the get there.
Ten minute into the trip Jillian runs to the front to advise Shannon urgently that they have to go back because they forgot something.
"We haven't even left Aylmer yet are you actually serious. Is it really that important to make us go back. " Shannon says with a dangerously low tone. She's gripping the steering wheel and has a very scary look on her face. Jillian sees this and slowly backs away mumbling something incoherent. They all continue their trip in silence until, after two hours I driving, Sophie yells in a rather manly voice "NO". We all look to Jessica and Sophie and see her standing there, panting and Jessica trying not to laugh.
"We were debating wether basketball was better than soccer..." Jessica says slowly a smile edging her lips. Sophie then calmly sits down and mumbles a incoherent apology.
"Hannah get over here, you're driving." Shannon says. Hannah gets up sluggishly and holds the wheel as Shannon gets out of the seat. This makes the RV swerve slightly. Hannah finally gets into the seat and continues driving as Shannon joins Sophie in the debate. "You can go now Jess, I've got this." Shannon says with determination and confidence. Jessica goes to the back to join Jillian and Eve who had woken up and started playing crazy 8's.
The rest of the drive there was pretty quiet except for the occasional outburst from Sophie and the "I WILL KILL YOU NICOLE"'s from Hannah. Even after a lot of complaining from Jessica they still hadn't stopped, even if it had been at least 5 hours since they left. When Nicole asks Hannah for the 30th time that hour if they were there Hannah finally yelled "YES NICOLE WE ARE FINALLY HERE NOW STOP FUCKING ASKING!" Nicole smiled and jumped a little in her seat. Everyone in the RV hears Hannah's outburst and they all sigh in relief and some mumble "thank god", they were all tired of Shannon and Sophie squabbling about nothing. Hannah parks the car in the lodge entrance parking lot and Shannon hops out with Eve. All of them had changed into more appropriate camping clothing. Shannon was wearing her Adidas track pants with the same hoodie and Eve was wearing a pair of green shorts with a Beetles T shirt. After about 15 minutes they exit the lodge with a ticket in their hands and climb into the RV.
