Ciel's POV

I awoke to the sound of someone groaning in pain. I sat up slowly, rubbing my head which felt considerably better. My fever was gone, and the throbbing pain had reduced to merely a dull ache. There was only one thing wrong. I was on the floor, soaked with sweat. I opened my eyes to see a figure hunched over in front of me. Obsidian hair fell into a shadowy face, pain obscuring the otherwise handsome features. I only knew one person who could look so beautiful, even in excrutiating pain. "S-Sebastian?" He stirred at the sound of his name. My butler's crimson eyes were filled with determination as he met my gaze. He struggled to his knees, and finally managed to stand up shakily. He leaned against the wall, and for the briefest of moments, as he clutched his fist and ran a gloved hand through his hair, I could see the full extent of his pain. "You will heal properly now, Bocchan. The poison is... no longer in you." My eyes widened in surprise. "B-But, you said that the toxin had to tranfer to someone else, before finally wearing itself out! Surely you didn't....." He only smiled. "It is the only appropriate action for a servant to take, my lord." But his words bothered me. Though his point was valid, surely he didn't believe that....
"Sebastian, will you still be able to serve me?"
The demon grinned. "Yes, my Lord."

Sebastian's POV
I looked at my master. I was unsure of how long I had been unconscious, but it couldn't have been too long. Yet young masters question bothered me. I had no idea what effects the poison would have on me, and if I was ill, who could care for my lord? I supposed I would have to fight it, no matter what. The thought still bothered me. Even if I had managed to save his life from the poison, had I condemned him by harming myself? No. For now, I could manage to struggle through my pain.
"Master, you must be hungry. Shall I prepare lunch?" I felt his gaze on me. Was that.... worry? Perhaps Young Master worried over who would care for him, should I end up incapacitated. I smiled to ease his mind, and to mask my agony. Though my head throbbed and it felt as though a sword was shredding through my flesh, I could manage to do my duties.
Eyeing me a moment more, the boy replied, and I could hear the suspicion in his voice. "Yes, Sebastian. And you may as well at least fix yourself some of that tea you seem to enjoy. I will permit you to sit with me as I dine, and I'm ordering you to rest when I do paperwork."
My eyes widened, but I hastily covered my shock with a smirk. "I assure you, master, that this is unnecessary. It would be improper, either way." Though the thought of that sounded delightful, I couldn't bear that. It would feel like showing weakness, and I was NOT weak. Yet, a sudden wave of nausea nearly knocked me to my knees, and before the boy could insist, I nodded.
"Yes, My Lord."
