After Etta and her foster parents had waved goodbye to Harry, they headed straight back to the underground. Etta was keener than ever to learn as much magic as she could, so she would be prepared to make the most of her time at Hogwart's. But, first, she needed to perfect her ability to disguise her dinosaur traits. By the end of the summer holidays Mrs Green had helped Etta to do this.
She was an apt pupil and a quick learner. Once she went back to Muggle school, Mrs Green began to teach her about her magical strength. Each day they would spend an hour working on perfecting this gift. If Etta focused her mind on feeling immensely strong, she could, while concentrating on this gift, lift the family car, just with her arms.
Etta also began to have dreams about things that were going to happen in the future. She kept having a dream about a man wearing a turban. He seemed like a timid, weak man, who was being bullied by a tall, dark-haired man. But, there was something powerful and dangerous about the timid man that was hidden. Mrs Green told her she had also had that vision. As the two men were wearing the robes of professors, both women were concerned that this might mean a hidden danger to Harry at Hogwarts.
Mrs Green helped Etta to interpret her dreams. She did not have visions when awake, but Mrs Green told her that with more training and as she reached adulthood, this was likely to happen. Mrs Green had explained to Etta that her natural form would be as a dinosaur, because her body was already changing to become that form. She would be able to appear as a human to other humans, using her dinosaur magic. Etta's fingernails had become more claw-like and her skin had a faint hint of rainbow colours. Although, she was managing to disguise this well.
She was looking forward to seeing Harry at Christmas to hear all his news so she could find out what Hogwart's was really like. She wasn't nervous about going to Hogwart's as she already had developed some of her magical talents. Next September couldn't come quickly enough for Etta.
