Things end and they fall apart, so you're left in the mess you made for yourself. Instead of having the bravery to walk away from it so long ago, like you should have.
You're left drowning. In the Atlantic during a blizzard. An onslaught of emotions. Drowning in the salty tears that leak from your eyes. The bitter sting of a torn heart. A shattered mind full of ghosts, originating from a different time. Not even the coast guard's lift rafts can save you from the icy storm your heart has amassed. You want closure. You need it. But will it save you? Will it give you the will to reach for the rafts? The hands that wish oh so desperately to save you? Or will it have the power to push you further into the frozen hurricane? Laughing, mocking, vile.
