There isn't much to explain really.
I'm the outcast of my family, only because of my mobile suit piloting skills. I'm not extraordinary, but gifted. Hence why Zaft decided, when I was 5, to assign me to the prototype GAT-X105 Strike.
I've been training since then with my colleagues Athrun, Yzak, Dearka, Miguel and Nicol.
The only downside to piloting is hiding my identity. Of course my colleagues know of who I am and where I come from, however if the Earth Alliance were to ever capture me they would have a huge leverage over Zaft. So for every training I wear a wig and I am always addressed as "Pilot Z1134857" or Violet. Believe me, I didn't pick that name, but Chairman Zala insisted I be called that because of my violet hair.
You would think being a Zaft pilot with violet hair would help me to stand out, but it doesn't. Not as long as my twin is around.
My twin is our fathers treasure who always has the spotlight. She can do no wrong in the colonies eyes, because she is a princess!
Whenever I hear the term princess I just want to barf.
She is the polar opposite of me, and I plan to always keep it that way.
