The rest of the drive there was silent. Crickets. Isaac put his chin in his hands, resting his elbows on his knees as we listened to the sweet sound if the radio.
We approached the church slowly, pulling into the lot. "Okay Hazel, were here. Please be back in at least an hour. I'll be waiting here.." My mother turned her head towards the window, opposite of Isaac and I. My hand tapped his arm, pulling his chin out if his hands. "Ready?" He smiled, but it looked forced.
I grabbed Isaacs hand and stepped out of the small red car. We both walked silently up the hill, towards him.
