I held Jimin's hand as we walked down the street, the hybrid's tail swaying happily behind him and the collar barely doing any justice to hide the hickeys on his neck. In my other hand held a hot chocolate, which Jimin snuck a sip out of before we left. Jimin opened the door to the shop, Hoseok appearing almost instantly, grinning widely when he saw us. The god picked Jimin up and spun him around, peppering kisses all over his face.

I smiled and handed him his hot chocolate when he finished doting over Jimin. Hoseok kisses my cheek in thanks and said his goodbyes. We continued to Jin's office. Jimin held onto my arm tightly as soon as I opened the door, me kissing his cheek to calm him down. I signed in and we were ushered into a room, Jimin's tail now in between his legs and shaking slightly.

"Hey, it's okay," I assured him once the nurse had left. "You know Jin's not going to hurt you."

He still was shaky, a small whimper escaping his lips when we heard footsteps out the door. It opened and Jin came in, smiling widely.

"Hi Jimin!" He chirped, shutting the door. "Okay, so I'm just going to check if there's anything wrong, okay? I'm not going to hurt you in any way."

"Told you," I whispered, trying to get his ears to stop pressing against his hair with a smile.

Jin took out a stethoscope. "I'm going to have to touch you, okay?"

Jimin nodded, but fear still in his darting eyes. Jin approached us and I squeezed Jimin's hand as Jin lifted up Jimin's shirt and breathed on the stethoscope before pressing it against his chest.

"Big breath, okay?" Jimin nodded and breathed in, doing as Jin asked for the other checks. He asked about Jimin's diet and sleeping patterns and other things as he continued the checkup. "How are you feeling, Jimin?"

"Good," he said shakily.

"Good," Jin smile. "Sweetie, we're going to have to a screening on you to find out where that chip is."

"H—Huwt?" He asked fearfully, starting to grab at my clothes.

"No, sweetie it's not going to hurt," I assured him, pulling him into my arms.

"I'll go prep the machines, you just try and calm him down," Jin said, me nodding to him.

The hybrid doctor left the room, so I picked Jimin up and sat where he originally was, holding him in my lap. Jimin was still shaking, biting his lip to keep tears in.

"Baby, it's not going to hurt you. There might be a buzzing noise, but that's it. I'm not going to be able to be in here during the screening, so you'll have to be a good boy and wait for it to be over so I can come back, okay? How about this, we'll go get that strawberry ice cream after it's over, yeah? Can you be a big boy for a bit?"

Hesitantly, he nodded, still shaking and one tiny step away from bursting into tears. I kissed his hair and rubbed his back as my puppy sniffled in my arms, trying to calm himself. Jin came back in with a smaller machine than I would've expected.

"Jimin, do you remember where those doctors put the chip in?" Jimin held the center of his left shoulder. "Alright, Yoongi, you'll have to step out."

I nodded, setting Jimin down and squeezing his hand, kissing his hair before releasing him. Walking out to the hall, I listened to Jin giving Jimin instructions like rolling up his sleeve and staying completely still if he could. Jin came out and hit a button on a cord, a picture showing up on a screen on the wall a few moments later. Jin pressed the button a few more times before going back in.

"Alright, sweetie, that was it!" He cheered.

"See, it didn't hurt," I smiled, coming in and scratching behind his ears. I pulled down Jimin's sleeve and kissed his forehead, squeezing his knee.

"I'll get back to you with the results and see if we can remove it, which should be done sooner rather than later. But sweetie, we got another screening you have to do."

Jimin hopped off the bed and held onto my arm as Jin led us out into the hall and down the corridor, opening a door. Inside was another door and a sitting area. Reluctantly, Jimin went into the other door with Jin, me staying behind.

"So what's this test?" I asked when Jin came in.

"Essentially an MRI of sorts. I'm going to try and find that fluid Jimin was talking about."

I nodded, standing next to Jin at the glass window. The older gave out instructions to Jimin to try and stay still and calm. He gave warnings of flashing lights and loud noises, but said it would take hardly a minute. The machine began and I saw what looked like a diagram of Jimin's bones and stuff slowly loading onto Jin's computer screen.

"See that?" Jin asked, pointing to what looked like his brain.

"Yeah?"

"His mind is developed like an adult's. And his brain size is what a normal twenty-year-old's should look like."

"What's that?" I asked, pointing to something in his arm.

"That's—" Jin started before frowning and looking closer. "That's—I don't know what."
