Routine, a definite sequence of events we tend to keep track of, we, as a human try to imitate the previous set. The similarity percent is what everyone cares about. The same case is applicable to a individual. If a person has common interests, then they get along with you. If the similarity percent is low, then they don't get along with you on par with similar persons. Basic tendency of humans as social animals.

It's almost been four days since that encounter at mall. I tend not to think about it. I started off with a cringy sentence. Maybe I should have asked for her mobile number. Who knows when will I meet her next. But, asking for mobile number of a girl you just met sounds rude and it's matter of safety.

The classes go on and on without break. its this type of day which I am bored to hell. Nothing to do but to just listen to woes of teacher babbling about someone's lifework."life has gone to shit" I mumbled to myself.
"just hold it for another 30 mins" abhishek suggested. He may have heard what I was mumbling.
"You know what,I think I am gonna escape from this class,  I will meet you in lunch"
I stood up and asked the teacher if I could use washroom. All faces turned towards me as if they are going to exile me after this. Teacher said yes. As i was walking out of class I caught glimpse of few girls giggling. not that I care about. I walked out and conducted my buiseness in washroom. While I was washing my hands, I heard a shriek from one of the stalls. It was a high pitched shriek. Almost  like a girls voice.
"Wat?.... " I moved closer to stall and tried to listen. A short wimping can be heard. I knocked the door
"bro, are you okay?"
"FUCK OFF, DUDE I am fine" a voice from the stall emerged. It was obviously a dude's voice. But that wimping can still be heard. And it's a girls voice

"damn, I don't want any part of this." I walked away from restroom. From the horror that I just witnessed. I never knew these kind of stuff happened in school, Woah. I need to bleach my mind to normal.

As i wander around campus, trying to keep myself busy with something, anything. I took a detour to cafeteria. I ordered myself a samosa and Pepsi. I took the food from the counter and reached the last table in the row. As i was eating, I followed my trains of thought regarding everything that is going on in my life. Most of the life, I feel bored. It's like I have too many activities to keep myself occupied but none of them is entertaining. Maybe I should just accept that my life is boring and move on? Isn't that exactly what I an doing. My thoughts are disturbed by a loud laughs from a group beside me. What is it with these girls always staying in herds? Not that it is of my concern but, I am just curious. In that group, I see Monika chatting non- chalantly. NOW, this has to be dumb coincidence. The girl I like being in my school. It's too good to be true lol. I rubbed my eyes and took a good look at the group. No doubt, that is Monika. But I dont think I can approach her right now.
Damn this herd. well I will find out about her class later. I washed my hands and exited cafeteria.

I still have time until the class finishes, so I decided to go the 'private' spot that I have.i dragged myself there and sat under  the tree and closed my eyes.
Even if I like her, to be realistic she might have a boyfriend or someone like that and will instantly reject me. That's one possibility. But hey, who knows, maybe my luck is high enough.

My power nap was interrupted by sound made in my ear *snap* I looked around with my eyes open to orient myself and I saw a person standing in front of me. it was Monika.

"hey, gourav I didn't know you attended this school."

"is this a dream ,am I in dreamland? "

"very funny."

"yeah, I did not expect you to be here and how did you find me? I mean this place is pretty much incognito."

"I followed you, I saw you exiting cafeteria and excused myself to find you"

"That makes sense, anyway which class you in?"

"hmm..... 11-D, you? "

"11-B"

I extended my hand for a hand shake

"friends?"

"and here I thought we are already friends. Anyway I will humor you. "

With that our friend ship was official, and I hope I get to spend time with her.

"care to show me around the school?, it's just been few days since I transferred here. " Monika requested.

"sure"

We went around the school we started with gymnasium which was close to where we were sitting and headed to classrooms. As i was walking I caught a glimpse of my peers in my class. They were pretty much bored. I saw abhishek fiddling with his phone. next I showed her campus.

"gourav, this school is pretty big."

"yes, it is"

By the time I finished showing her school it's already lunch time.

"hey gourav, let's eat outside. show me a place with good food. "

"okay"

And thus we went to Jordan's and had our lunch. It amazed me that yesterday I was thinking about this girl and today I am having lunch with her. Life does go unexpected.

"the food is great here" Monika declared.

"Yes,next time be sure to try this noodles. It goes great with the sauce they give."

"yes, will do" she said that in a cheerful way.

We talked about authors and the writing habits of them and she seems to be interested in deep and convoluted plots with psychological aspects.well, I ain't a newbie when u comes to being a bookworm. So, In the end,our conversation became a sort of soft debate on different writing habits.after 30 mins of soft debating we finally finished our food and exited Jordan's.

"that was great gourav, I had fun. I better get going.my classes are going to start. "

"Yea, lunch is almost over. I better get going."

"I really look forward to continue on which genre is good."

"yes, me too" we waved each other off. Her class is in the other block which I opposite of my block. So we have to part
Ways. But only temporarily anyway.

I reached class to find abhishek sleeping, sruti chatting and Ria reading a book. I sat in my place beside abhishek and in front of Ria and sruti.
"so, enjoyed by yourself?" Ria said while placing a bookmark in her book.

"Yea, pretty much."

No I don't plan on telling them about Monika. well, not yet anyway. They would just make fun of me. I will tell them later.
But for now I would like to keep this secret.

The rest of the day was slow with boring classes and interesting ones too. While interesting ones last for a few minutes. Boring ones feel like the my last for an eternity. Time doesn't slow down or fast up.its our perception of it that changes its pace. Simply put, it's how much our brain's RAM is allotted to keep track of time. If we are doing something interesting, we give less RAM to time. Thus we feels it's fast and vice versa.

"so, vote for the ani-awards. i hope evangaleon wins. " Ria said while clutching onto her ice-cream.

We were walking home. More precisely  we were walking together until we reach the junction which separated us. Chatting away about all the stuff in the world. It's just the way of a teen.

We reached the junction and waved each other off for the day. Pretty productive day for all I care. Ditching friends for love, huh. I never thought I would do that until now. Well,  I will have plenty of opportunities to make up with them.
