She was a child. It can be said that reality had hit her at an early age. The saying as it goes ' sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never break me' is as ridiculous as to say Harry and Ron ever cared about Hermione.

Even with the absence of blood purity in the muggle world, Hermione never really had her peace.

At primary school, girls would laugh at her untameable hair, boys would yell at her." Little piggy!" She was a tad bit chubby. They never touched her. But she felt as if the world had fallen onto her, at the age of nine.

When Hermione received her invitation to Hogwarts, she had seen the proud looks on her parents faces and the immense relief that well... everything was going to be alright, no one would remember the girl who was teased and bullied.

But it was not to be, for the moment she realised her kind was hated in her new school, curtesy of Malfoy.

And for the first time, Hermione understood that wherever she went, people always detested her for personal issues, ego. That in the wizarding world, she wasn't even welcomed much. Add in, Rita the tattle, Ron the bastard and the Daily Bullshit.

Hermione had opened her eyes, they were unusually heavy.

Her body had ached.

She was covered in the whitest, softest sheets she had ever seen. And a muscular arm thrown over her, pinning her against his chest Soft breath fanning her neck.

Her eyes darkened as she clutched the sheets closely towards her naked body, remembering every single emotional shard left in her as his hands unknowingly caressed her bare breasts.

She remembered everything.

Then she noticed.

The arm that had found its place around her:the tattoo of three snakes and a skull that found its ownership of its enhanced features.

She wanted to reach out to it.

Rip off that patch of skin with her bare teeth.

He does something though. He kisses her.

She thinks he's crazy, that he's under the imperius curse but she says nothing.

Something told her. A voice. One that sounded like her.

She told her to go along with it.

The hands that pushed her down that very floor, grip her hipbones hard. Rough.

It was carnal, animalistic. But she liked it. Tear her into pieces and she would still want more.

Maybe next time she'll pull on his green tie into a deserted classroom whenever she sees him making a comment to her in the hallways.
Bite her lip and run her fingers through his platinum blonde hair. Let them run to his belt. Unbuckle. Let his fingers run through her tresses while his mouth lets out moans of ecstasy.

Now, lips that once told her that he wanted her kind dead, graze upon her collarbones with the softness of it.

He had asked her if she wanted to do it that morning. Repeat.

She gazed blankly at him with her brown eyes.

She wanted to say " it doesn't really matter" but it did.

Instead, her lips let out." Why not?"

And she let him.

It was a week ago.

Hermione was reading Lolita, a muggle book she had gotten recently. Unfortunately her reading was interrupted by her dear friend's artificial voice.

"I heard Malfoy got into the hospital ward. Gee I thought he was fit." Luna commented, curling a finger against her blonde hair, giggling." Anyway, I was talking to Gigi from Slytherin yesterday and did I..."

Luna continued rambling on about some fight Gigi and her engaged in with Pansy Parkinson. Hermione said nothing as they walked down the school hallway.

She couldn't remember when Luna had started towering over her. Does stress equal to lack of empathy and appreciated physical attributes? Maybe it was the war. Maybe it was just there in her all along and the war was what unlocked it. She thought.

"Luna." He had came over, a book bag slung over his broad shoulder. His lips came over the blonde's, his hands moving across her waist as she let out a soft giggle. Hermione swallowed heavily as her brown eyes hardened at the scene, a blank expression on her face, her fists curled so tight that they were turning white. Students around her whispered quickly at the couple's bold move of public affection.

That could have been me. She told herself.

" Alright, get a room, you two." Mcgonagall had came over, shaking his head at the pair of students in front of her who stopped kissing when they saw the headmistress looming over them with a frown on her face.

" 50 points from both houses, Slytherin and Ravenclaw for inappropriate behaviour in the hallways.I expect a 10000 worded essay from both of you on discipline in this school by tomorrow. Do you understood? Mr Nott and Miss...Lovegood."

Luna was glaring at the older witch, muttering the same as her partner." Yes, Headmistress... Mcgonagall."

Hermione silently thanked the headmistress, for once.

The pair had started following, the blonde signalled for the brunette to follow, of she did with gritted teeth. She could still hear what the others were saying.

Mudblood. Insufferable. Unwanted.

"Theo, did you hear what happened?" Luna smiled as she threw her arm over him."The Malfoy news."

Hermione's eyes lifted as she saw the cheery expression on his face turn to annoyance." Bastard deserved what he had coming onto him."

" Oh well, better for us." Luna smirked at him. Hermione wanted to wipe that smirk off her face, right then." By the way, you going for Ginny Weasley's party next Saturday?"

"Maybe." He started smiling, whispering things into her ears of which Hermione never caught.

" Hermione? Coming for Ginny's party?" Luna looked at her with a grin." Booze. Weed. Sex. Galore."

"No." She said.

The last thing Hermione wanted was to be at a social event. Moreover, Ginny Weasley's party? Please that bitch couldn't tolerate her presence even.

"Why not?" Luna rolled her eyes." You seriously need to get out more. I mean do yourself a favour. Hop back to your room. Put on some makeup on. You'll look better and you'll feel better. Trust me."

Hermione stared at her blankly before the blonde shook her head, narrowing her eyes." Seriously I have an image to uphold, you know."

All she wanted to do was to gouge out her tongue at that moment.

"Come on Luna. I think Hermione has gotten your message."Theo said, patting her on the shoulder as Luna crosses her arms.

"I don't care. Hermione, you must go." She demanded.

And Hermione knew at that moment she couldn't refuse her offer no matter what she said." Fine, I'll go."

"Great." Luna let a smirk onto her face." Come on, Theo. We're going to be late for Astronomy class."

While the pair were walking, Theo sent Hermione an unnerving look, mouthing." Don't you even say something."

Hermione could only say nothing but curl her fists and get going.
