"He's checking you out. I swear!" Heather says then squeals. Heather Krauss is my friend, she's my closest friend but she doesn't know that. Our parents are acquaintances, but it's all about business.

"No he's not. It's probably you that he's checking out—-in fact—-it could be anybody, and we're just blocking his view," I counter. We're currently in the airport waiting for our plane to arrive, it had been almost half an hour since we arrived and not exactly 22 minutes since Mister-sea-green-eyed-shaggy-black-haired guy here stared at me—-I mean us. We're on our way back to Palawan from our visit to our parents.

The moment I set my eyes on him; he discreetly tugged on his ear. Woahh! He had a little smile on, one that made me look away. I avoided looking at him, but I just can't. He tugged his ear again, and I just couldn't help but do the same. He stood up and walked away, carrying his backpack on one strap. After a couple of minutes, I excused myself to go to the bathroom.

Ear tugging; it's a The-Selection-thing.

True to what I said, I went to the bathroom, taking my time facing the mirror. "What the hell am I doing?" I shook my head. It's not every day that I get to talk to fanboys, but still...

As I walked out and started roaming around the stores, I realized I actually didn't know where the guy went. It's not like I was stalking his every move. I was thinking twice about going back to our seat when I saw a book store. Of course, I'm so stupid sometimes. I went in and immediately saw him. He was browsing through a book that I haven't read before. I walked and stood next to him. Picking up a copy of the same book, I pretended to be reminiscing good times. We're playing a game, two people meeting in a bookstore for the first time. He didn't say anything, but I did, after some time. I looked at him (it was a total fail, I didn't notice he was that tall, I had to adjust and walk a foot back to look up to him) "The girl dies," I lied. It was a beautiful sight; the fluorescent bulb above him giving a nice glow, his hair reflecting the light and forming a halo and that incredulous look in his face. I just couldn't help myself from laughing, not an all-out lung-wrenching eardrum-wrecking voice breaking laugh, just a soft giggle.

The guy returned the book in the stack and faced me. I, being really respectful extended my hand to him. He looked at it reluctantly before accepting it. "Tiffany McMiller, Cabin 6."

"Zachary Arclyte, Cabin 3." He shook our hands and pulled his away.

"I was kidding," I gave him a full-blown smile, trying to bring back the friendly atmosphere.

He shook his head and rubbed the back of his neck, "Oh gods. Not an ideal first meeting." I laughed again, and then looked through the books aligned on the shelves, ignoring him.

"What took you so long?" he walked closer to me, as I was looking at a Colleen Hoover book; Slammed. He observed me then leaned to my ear, close enough that I could feel his breath "Will is gay." He whispered then walked back laughing, until he bumped the table with the stacks of books.

"You're bluffing!" I turned to him, seeing the most handsome man I have ever seen at his clumsiest.

"Oh! Shoot," he raised his two hands and faced the attendant who scowled at him. "I'm so sorry! She pushed me." He reasoned.

"No I didn't!" I defended myself to the scowling man "I don't even know him!" I said loudly before continuing what I was saying, still browsing through titles.
