Dear Reader,

A long time ago in a catastrophic household I found a shimmer of light in my life that brought me to the surface. This shiny reflection above the waves caused the deepest infatuation in my very young and very impressionable soul. I called out and cherished this shimmer as if it were the last beam on Earth to illuminate the very crevices of my soul.

Little did I know, I had stumbled into an Icarus dilemma where the beam was so hot and so unprecedented it burnt up my soul to nothing but a deep, dark ash. Everything I had was invested in that sunlight until I found it it gladly shined upon other lands just as brightly and then some.

Sometimes, to know we are in love, we must let go to the things that hurt us. Sometimes, sunlight will cascade us into darkness and leave us there to die, drowning, hopeless. Please know to take care of yourself, please know not to condone the actions of others if they harm you.

Please help yourself before you too drown amongst the sea.
