I've tried to sleep for four hours now and it's still no use.
Defeated, I sigh and stared at the ceiling endlessly hoping to fall back asleep.
It's been months since I've restricted myself from using my sleeping meds, but today I couldn't help it.
As I propped myself up my bed, i open my nightstand and took out the begging orange bottle.
I desperately twisted the cap open and downed two pills dry.
I sighed in relief as I feel it slowly began to work.
Though, the promise to myself to quit pills is broken, so that sucked.
While putting my pills back in the nightstand, my phone lit up, a text notification from my mom.
I picked the phone up and opened it.
"Sweetie, though it's nice that you have a loving boyfriend please tell him to not text me at 5 am thank you!!" my eyes widen.
Boyfriend?
I texted her back, saying that I don't have one, but a sudden photo interrupted me.
And in that moment it was like there were permanent chills settling on my spine.
There, the picture showed a screenshot of an unknown number with a picture of myself sleeping.
At this point my hands were shaking and I started to feel dizzy.
I quickly typed out my response, but before I could hit send, the pills kicked in and I fell asleep.
"Mom, I live alone."
