Damon and Jeremy (TVD)

Too Close For Comfort

Note: This is continuing from where Jeremy failed to kill himself and failed to turn himself into a Vampire which happened in the early seasons of TVD. He drank Anna's blood and overdosed on pain medication. Though the blood healed him before harm came to him.
Please, note that non of this is real. This is just a little something I'm making up and did NOT happen in TVD series.

Chapter One: Too Close For Comfort

Holding her younger brother in her arms Elena wept. "He knows Stefan! He had vampire blood! I can't let him know about you and Damon." She pleaded with him as Stefan was checking Jeremy over.
"He has to, right now it might be the only thing that will keep him alive." He whispered back in a hushed calm tone. His emerald green eyes watched his girlfriend as he couldn't help but feel guilty about what had happened. He was the reason the whole vampire fiasco was happening, or so he always thought. What if? He always questioned. He always struggled to accept when he was doing a good deed. Elena was filled with emotions, guilt, worry, concern, fear... the list went on forever. How could she protect Jeremy when she didn't know how to protect herself? Choking on her tears she buried her head into Jeremys neck.
"It's all my fault Stefan!" she yelled as Jeremy groaned in exhaustion.

"Jeremy?" Stefan jumped up and supported him as Jeremy began to wake up from his sleep.
"What's going on?" He questioned as he looked around."Elena? Why are you crying?" He asked pulling himself up. Noticing the empty vile of blood and the empty bottle of pills on the bed beside Elena he frowned. "Oh.." he gulped. Before he could say anything else Elena wrapped his arms around her brothers shoulders and held him close. "Oh Jeremy! I thought I lost you. What were you thinking?" she cried, her whole body shook in shock. "Elena... I..." He paused and closed his eyes for a second. Was he really going to admit this?"

"He wants to be a vampire Elena. He wants to be like Anna. Too bad your pretty little girl died." Damon bellowed as he appeared in the doorway out of nowhere. Jeremy frowned "What?"
Stepping towards him Damon let out a cocky grin "Awh, come on now. You didn't know she was dead?"
"DAMON!" Stefan yelled and glared directly at him. Though Damon just shrugged it off, he had centuries of Stefans glare and to be honest it never bothered him in the slightest.
Pushing Elena off him Jeremy barged his way out of the room "I need some air!" he cried as his eyes welled up with tears.
Both Stefan and Elena just glared at him, for some reason he just couldn't leave things. Rolling his eyes Damon turned to follow Jeremy. "Yeah yeah! I got it!" He replied in an insensitive tone.

Jeremy ran into the bathroom just out into the hallway where he grabbed the medication from. He began to search for his phone on the side when he felt a cold hand grip his. "Gilbert... she is gone. I'm sorry."
Jeremy turned and slammed his fist into Damon's chest, though Damon was strong enough to stop him he didn't. Damon let Jeremy take out his anger with a few punches before he broke down in Damon's arms. Damon felt, well awkward. He wasn't used to being the so-called good guy. Sinking down to the floor with Jeremy in his arms he watched as the young man broke down. Tears rolling down his face, anger and rage filling his body but most of all he stunk of blood. Vampire Blood.

Letting out a deep sigh Damon knew what he had to do. "Jeremy, being like us is not a gift. It's a curse..."
not yet knowing Damon and Stefan were vampires Jeremy looked up confused. Through his tears he managed to blurt out "What on earth do you mean?"
"Being a vampire like me and Stefan." He stated - letting it sink in for a second. "It's not a gift."

Without taking a second thought Jeremy pushed Damon away "You two are vampires?!" he howled. Damon rolled his eyes and used his vampire strength to take a hold of him. "If I was going to hurt you I'd have done it before now. So would Stefan. We care about you and your sister so calm down... please?"
