Cross's P.O.V
For two hours we were stuck in the trailer of this truck with no clue of what was going on or where we were going. It was dark and smelly. Not because of the dog that was snuggled up to my side, the dog was fine. It was Horror, he never washes his clothes and they're covered in zombie blood. So he was stinking up the place. Also, this trailer is just a big metal box. It's cold and uncomfortable. Luckily, this lovely dog was helping me warm up, at least there's that.
"Ink, are you sure this was a good idea?" I asked.
"Not really..." Ink mumbled.
"Don't worry, you won't regret it. I swear on my life." Sci assured.
Right. It's probably some rundown building out in the middle of nowhere. I should've just stayed at the arena. Although, that place is probably going to be overrun by zombies now that the walls have gapping hole in them. I'm surprised the truck didn't fall to pieces.
"Sci, how much longer are we going to be in here?" Blueberry asked.
"Not too long. We're almost there." Sci answered.
"That's what you said an hour ago!" Dust yelled.
"W-Well I-"
Sci stopped when we noticed that the truck had come to a stop. Someone opened the large metal door of the trailer, revealing moonlight. The person standing there was a black-boned skeleton, a glitch.
"Alright warriors." He started. "M'name's Error, I'm in charge until we get inside so you all follow my orders."
Another skeleton came up to Error. "Error, you'd be in charge for about two minutes. We're right outside the door."
Error huffed. "Lemme have my fun for once, Dream."
Dream. A suitable name for him. He seemed confident, logical and...Oh no he's cute.
He turned and smiled at everyone in the trailer. "Come on and come inside. The boss will be waiting to meet'cha."
I got up immediately. I don't know why, the other's didn't understand either. Dream's smile widened.
"Excellent. Come on, there's nothing to be afraid of."
I walked out of the trailer, jumping off the trailer. But I ended up tripping and stumbling. Dream caught me before I fell and the already existing blush on my face became darker. I could hear Killer and Horror snickering in the trailer.
"Somebody's in love~" One of them whispered to the other.
"I-I, uh-" I quickly stepped back. "I'm sorry, I d-didn't mean to-"
"It's ok." Dream interrupted. "Just be careful, OK?"
I nodded quickly. Sci came out of the truck, smoothly landing. But the other's didn't move.
"Geez, you'd think warriors would be more confident." Error mocked.
That made Ink a little mad. He was someone who was proud of himself, but not reckless. He and Blueberry got up and walked out of the trailer. Ink carefully helped Blueberry to the ground, then turned to Error.
"There. Happy?" He asked, annoyed.
Error smirked. "Very."
The rest of the warriors came out, one by one. The dog that had been by my side practically leaped into Dream's arms. Somehow, Dream caught the big Golden Retriever.
"Aw, I missed you too, Buddy!" Dream said, kissing the dog's forehead.
The dog barked happily and licked Dream's cheek, Dream giggled cutely.
"Ok, you can make out with your dog when we get inside. Lets go." Error said.
Dream huffed and put down the dog. We all followed Error, Dream and Sci around the truck. We looked in amazement when we saw where we were going. For one, it wasn't as rundown as we thought it would be, and two, it's a f**king mansion! The thing towered over us with it's five floors. It looked even more intimidating with the moon lowering behind it. Jeez, this was already better then the arena. It didn't feel like a prison.
Dream locked the gate that surrounded the place behind us as we walked up to the front door. His dog waving his tail wildly, never leaving his side. Error tried to open the door, but it was locked. He huffed and knocked on the door. Someone, or rather, something, called to us through the door.
"What's the password? What's the password?" It asked.
"Open the damn door before I break it down, you stupid budgie." Error snapped.
It was silent for a moment. "Close enough."
The door opened and we went inside. The place was quite grand, despite being dimly lit by candles. Standing at the centre of the room was a girl. She looked about fourteen and she had a little budgie perched on her shoulder. The budgie must of been the one talking through the door.
"Hi everyone!" The girl greeted.
"Sup." Fell replied.
The girl smiled happily. "Nice to finally meet all of ya!"
"Yeah yeah, who exactly is the boss of this place?" Dust asked, rather rudely.
"You're looking at her, dumba*s." Error replied.
We stared at the girl. She laughed.
"I know, it's a bit of a surprise, isn't it?" She said."Wha-how-huh!?" Dust couldn't find the words he wanted to say.
"You're like, twelve!" Horror exclaimed.
"Fourteen, actually."
"Still! You're just a kid!"
"Watch your mouth, numbskull. She's smarter then you."
Someone else entered the room. He was yet another skeleton, but covered in a layer of black goop and had four tentacles protruding from his back.
"Be nice, Nightmare." Dream said, crossing his arms.
Nightmare rolled his eye light. Sci cleared his throat.
"I think we do introductions in the morning when everyone is well rested. Why don't we show them to their rooms?" He suggested.
"Great idea!" The girl agreed. "Your four can do that, I'll quickly check and see if we still have enough supplies for the trip."
The girl walked off, the budgie on her shoulder chirping at us as they went. Dream came up to me.
"Come with me, I'll take you to your room." He said, still smiling.
I nodded and smiled back, going with him. You know what? I'm glad we decided to go with them.
