In Time [One Shot]

I courted you for a year, fully aware you were afaid to fall in love with someone, specially a friend. I proven myself worthy of you, and of your time. You were my light that guided me all throughout, you never faltered, you held your head high, you never forget to make me smile in my darkest hour. We were perfect our high school batchmates would say, when I give you your favorite flowers in valentines and days that I would think someones makin a move on you, and I love how you made time for me everyday, even if you were a very busy person, you still made time and be patient with me, and sometimes you would ask me 'how did your day go?', 'did you have a good time?' and you would always smile at the right time.

For me, you were simply the best of everything I could ever wish for. When I said I'll be yours forever. I meant it. I wanted an us that would never end, I still remember last September 28, your birthday everyone was having a blast at your 16th birthday party, while you were dancing I borrowed a guitar and sang you a song that I knew you loved to hear, when I started playing the song:

almost everyone in the room stopped dancing to look at who was singing, and I would've lauged my head-off when they saw it was just me, to see their very shocked faces. But I just kept looking at you, at the girl that I readily gave up my allowance just to make her see and feel special. You who would smile with even just one flower that was given to you. I can see people pulling out their phones and cameras taking a video of what was happening.

You were walking towards me, and someone pushed me I turned to look at the guitarist, who I borrowed the guitar to. He was making me go towards her and I did, no need to repeat it twice, I would happily come towards her everytime. I continued singing

When I finished the song, I asked you "Will you be mine?" you closed your eyes and I waited impatiently, afraid of what your answer will be and the outcome of a year of courting, what felt like years, you opened your eyes boring your beautiful eyes into my dull ones, you bit your bottom lip and smiled, you nodded, YOU MADE ME THE HAPPIEST GUY ALIVE THAT DAY. I dettached the guitar from me and I went up to you and hugged you, twirling you around. I finally have you, the girl of my dreams.
