"A new mission?" Natsu asked happily.

"Yes, tomorrow you set off, and try to win victory.

This is a test of bonds, a test of strength, and endurance. Do not take this as a joke Natsu" makarov looked at the naive boy.

"You will be paired with Lucy" makarov pointed at the happy girl, who was happily talking with mirajane, and levy.

"Really? Sweet" natsu thought about this happy event. He'd get to be partners with just lucy! And of course happy too.

"I'd better tell happy, and lucy!" Natsu said.

"No, Natsu.. Happy will be with charle. Everyone will be paired. And they will not help you. As I said; this is a test of endurance, bonds, and strength. You need someone that you can count on. One that will protect you, and one that will save you" makarov chugged a rather large mug of beer.

"It's still going to be fun" natsu said.

Makarov sighed, his angry eyebrows sent even more wrinkles to his old face.

"This isn't actually a test. This is real, if the teams don't work.. The town could get destroyed. Or at the very least, townsfolk would suffer our battles. It's not fair too them" makarov said.

"Wha-it's real?! Then why aren't we going as a big mob? We should show them what we're made of!" Natsu yelled.

"Natsu, shut your mouth" makarov paused.

"We can't. They work teams, so we're going to accommodate to their standards" makarov looked sadly at his mug.

"We're going to help them by forming small teams? That's.." Natsu gave an angry snarl.

"I won't do it" natsu said.

"Now listen here, who's the master?" Makarov asked.

"Eh--yes.. You're right" natsu clenched his fists, he was reckless, but he knew not to start a fight with makarov. He would do what he was told.

"I will tell the others individually don't go blabbing" makarov said.

"Also, if you help others.. I will personally banish you. I know, you're reckless natsu.. But you need to learn self control at some point" makarov said.

"Alright" natsu walked away.

He grabbed Lucy's collar, and pulled it.

"Geh--natsu? What are you doing?!" Lucy tried to pull herself away from him, but his grip was ridiculous.

"Natsu! What're you doing? I was talking to levy! And mirajane!" Lucy was getting angry. What was his problem?

"We're going on a mission together. Just us two" natsu whispered.

"That's what you had to say?" Lucy was now let go of. Natsu realized his selfish actions. But-but he was angry. He couldn't go help others, he would have to ignore them. What was the point of being in a guild if he couldn't help fellow guild mates? It didn't make any sense! The old man was really loosing it!

Before he knew it, his head on on Lucy's shoulder.

"N-natsu?" Lucy questioned. Her heart beat a little bit quicker.

"I can feel the increase in your heartbeat" natsu said, a smirk across his devilish face.

"Baka! Don't do something like that and expect me not to do something" lucy looked away, her pale skin slightly seemed to glitter.

He lifted her chin, and he could feel the goosebumps.

"Lucy.." He lightly whispered. He was leaning in for a kiss, but that got the best of him, as he tripped on a rock. He ended up biting Lucy's chin.

"O-ow!" Lucy groaned.

"Ifs kinda purgey" (it's kinda pudgy) he backed up a little embarrassed.

"D-don't call me pudgy" lucy said angrily. She crossed her arms, and quickly walked away.

Natsu grabbed her shirt.

"Lucy." There was a sadness to natsu's voice.

"This mission. I feel a bad feeling. My stomach feels like it's going to curl into itself, and my head aches" natsu slowly lost grip of Lucy's shirt.

"Natsu? Are those tears?" Lucy lifted his head. Natsu had tears building up in his eyes.

"Natsu!" Lucy grabbed his head, and pulled him quite aggressively into herself.

"It's fine, as long as we have each other" lucy paused.

"I will protect you with my life, and I hope you too the same." Lucy hoped she'd soothed the dragon slayer's hardships. Natsu's pupils got a bit smaller. His hands twitched. They reached around the blonde's waist. He held the fabric of her clothes tightly. A couple of tears fell. He couldn't understand this feeling, this sick, disgusting, feeling. At the same time--he felt an undying love for this blonde Mage.

"Tomorrow we face them" natsu said.

"As long as we have each other right? We're teammates" lucy smiled, she let go of natsu's head, and tried to free from the embrace. Natsu's hands suddenly felt cold, and lonely. He grasped the blonde again. Lucy looked at him.

"Wha-?" Lucy moved her head. As natsu kissed her cheek, instead of her lips.

"That's not fair lucy! Hold still! I wasn't gunna trip that time"

"No way" she slipped away from natsu's arms. She ran quickly, seeing the stars that filled the sky.

"Wait up lucy" natsu ran after lucy, the feeling of love seemed to overpower the sick feeling, but it still lingered.

Lucy was happy, she was being chased by natsu, in the dark night. The only source of light was the pretty stars.

She suddenly felt what natsu was talking about. The feeling of sorrow, the feeling that something bad was waiting around the corner. She couldn't help to ignore this, she couldn't have natsu catch her!

She turned around still running, she stuck her tongue out. Natsu laughed.

"There's no way you'll win" natsu ran past her.

"A-wait.. What are we doing?!" Lucy ran beside natsu.

"Duh, whoever can get to Lucy's bed the fastest, gets to to sleep there the fastest!" Natsu ran extremely fast. Lucy now knew what the feeling was--it was natsu--stealing her bed.

Continued soon~ this is actually to help my writing too, I need to do better 'action' I'm so terrible at action, fighting, and such. Although, I love to give myself challenges. I will be making random characters as natsu and Lucy's rivals. I'm very sorry, but I won't focus on any other fight.
