The Phantom King (a Danny Phantom Phan-Fiction) (Discontinued)

Update: Good News and Bad News

Hey there everyone and hooray I'm finally back. I would like to apologise for not updating for so long, I had a lot going on and honestly just lost interest in continuing this Phan-Fiction. But before I reveal the important news I would just like to take a moment to say thank you all so much for reading my fanfic, I started this as just a silly little story and to see that it now has over 1k reads is mind-blowing to me, so from the bottom of my heart thank you all so much.

Now onto the updates, starting with the bad as many off you might have guessed by my over a year of hiatus, I will no longer be continuing this fanfic, I simply lost interest in it about a year ago due to negative comments and new fan done and interests taking Danny Phantoms place (though Danny Phantom still has a special place in my heart and is still one of my favourite cartoons of all time.) I also re-read my fanfic and simply didn't like it anymore and found it to be cringy, childish and filled with bad writing choices (though if you did sincerely enjoy my story then that is completely fine and makes my day.) All of this has helped me come to the conclusion that I will no longer be continue this fanfic, I will leave it up for those who genuinely like it but don't expect any new chapters or anything like that.

But now onto the good news, nope like I said before I won't be continuing this fanfic, but that doesn't mean that I won't be continuing this story, I will be remaking/rebooting The Phantom King story in a new Phan-Fiction that should have the first chapter uploaded around the same time as this news update. Here are a couple of things that I will be keeping the same and changing:

Same:
1:Danny is to be crowned the next Ghost King
2:Danny and Sam are still a couple
3:Tucker is still the Mayor of Amity Park
4:Danielle is still Danny and Sam's biological daughter
5:Clockwork will still die once Danny becomes the Ghost King

Changed:
1:The story now takes place 10 years after the events of Phantom Planet rather than 2-3 like in the original
2:Danny instead has to be crowned at the age of 25, the Ghost Zone's age for an adult (I made it up, not from show).
3:Danny no longer gets spirit animal power
4:Danny and Sam no longer go on a crossover road trip, instead
5:Danny and Sam are both full time ghost hunters and Tucker is still the Mayor of Amity Park, having been re-elected 3 times.
6:Danny waits longer than before to propose to Sam.
7:And lots of other ideas I never got to use in the original

I will also be incorporating a new original character into the story. The story will follow the same premise of the original and will utilise aspects from both the original show, videos from Butch Hartman's YouTube channel and my own ideas I have had cooking up in my brain for a long time now. I truly hope that those of you who enjoyed the original can also enjoy the new one, I know remakes and reboots tend to be worse than the original but art is subjective and I hope that everyone can find something they like in my new Phan-Fiction.
