Truth or Dare

The Beginning

Lyssa POV

"I am so much more amazing than you!" My brother Leo said.

"Are not!" I said.

"Are too!" He said.

"That's not even proper English!" I said.

I saw Pippi run up behind him with her finger to her lip.

"I am way more awesome than you! I can even talk in emojis! 🍀🌹🌻🌺🍁🍃🍂🌾🌿🍄🌵🌑🌝🌞🌞🌐🌼🌼🌱🌰🌰🌲🌴🌴🌒🌓🌔🌔🌕🌕🌖🌖🌗🌗🌘🌘🌜🌜🌛🌛🌙🌍🌍🌍🌵💧🌰🌲🌓🌺🌼😸🌱🌼🍂🌱💧🌰😂😂😂😂😂🌲👹😸🌲😸🍂🌕🌞🌾" I said.

Pippi jumped on his back. He screamed. He threw Pippi into the sand box, then realised it was Pippi.

"Soz!" He said.

"S'okay!" She replied. "What are you two doing?"

"Arguing!" I said.

"Says the girl who can't decide whether she fancies Connor or that dude in the Hestia Cabin!" he said.

"Wait... How do you know about that?" I asked.

"Because I'm more awesome than you." He said.

"So it has nothing to do with the fact that I just found this under your pillow?" I asked pulling out my diary.

"Nope! Never seen that before!" he lied.

"So then Mr Leo I'm so amazing not Valdez, prove your awesomeness." I said.

"My surname is amazing!" he said.

"Yeah and your first name is not!" I said.

A random camper appeared and said. "Oh that's sass!"

"Dude go away!" I said.

"Anyways, I meant by doing a dare!" I said. Meanwhile the random camper was having like a spaz attack.

"Hold on a mo." I said.

"Can someone please help this dude with mental issues! He's like having a spaz attack!" I shouted.

"I'm not doing any dare unless we are playing truth or dare!" Leo said.

"Ok fine." I sighed. "Were playing truth or dare." I said in a bored tone. "Now then, I dare you to climb to the top of Thalia's tree and scream 'I'm on top of the world' at the top of your lungs."

"Fine. But you are dead." He said. Pippi and I followed him to Thalias tree. He climbed all the way to the top and screamed what I told him to, really really loud. Then he shimmied down the tree and grinned. Travis and Connor ran over.

"What was that?" asked Travis.

"A dare." Leo said.

"Can we join?" asked Connor.

"Sure!" I said. "Let's go down to the beach."

We raced down there.

"Who's next?" I asked. "Let's go round. Leo you're next."

"Pippi. Truth or Dare?" he said.

"Truth." She said.

"Who, apart from me of course, is your ultimate favourite male friend/relative?" he asked.

"Oh that's hard. Either Simon, Jace, Will or the Stolls." she said.

Travis and Connor high-fived.

"Pippi your turn." I said.

"Lyssa. Truth or Dare?" she asked me. Bum. "Dare." I said.

"I dare you to go up to Clarisse and whip her butt!" she said. I gulped.

"It was nice knowing you." Said Travis, wiping an imaginary tear from his eye.

"What colour flowers would you like at your funeral?" Connor asked, fake blowing his nose.

"Pippi has the list. Good bye guys. I'm so glad I met you." I said. I took a fake deep breath and walked up to the Ares door. I walked up to Clarisse.

"This is a dare, so please don't hate me, but wanna fight?" I asked.

"Sure! Sorry if I win." She said.

"Ditto." I said. Then the others came up the beach to watch. Clarisse made the first move. I jumped, used her head as a springboard and catapulted over her head. I watched how she moved whilst jumping over her. When she realised what I was doing, she grabbed my leg while I was in the air. I was shocked but I knew what to do. I twisted in her grasp until I fell loose, just before I hit the ground I did a flip and landed on my feet. I noticed she always relied on her arms, but left her stomach unguarded. As she ran towards me, I jumped and twisted. Time seemed to slow down. She tried to punch me, but I was like a helicopter, I twisted through the air and punched her stomach. She began to fall over in pain and I used her remaining balance as a springboard and pushed off her and landed on my feet. She held up her handkerchief.

"That was amazing! Where did you learn all that?" she asked me.

"I'll teach you!" I said. I walked back over to my friends.

"That was..." Leo started.

"I know!" I said.

"Terrifying! Never do that again!" he said.

"What? Be more awesome than you?" I teased.

He looked shocked. "I am ashamed of you!"he said in mock horror. Pippi and I laughed.
