Zoe had been floating on cloud 9 the last week. She had seen Pin twice, since their hack, and they became closer each time they were together. When she was with him, everything else seemed to fade away, and there was just the two of them. They laughed and talked, and just enjoyed each others company. However Zoe still didn't know if they were a couple and she didn't dare to ask Pin, afraid of getting rejected.
She knew she was fallen in love with him, and it scared her so much. She had never felt like this before, and the lack of control was terrifying. Everytime she saw Pin, she desperately wanted to tell him how she felt, but being a coward, she just kept it to herself. She didn't even know if he felt the same way.
Shaking her head, she was brough back to the present, as Raven neighed softly. "I'm sorry boy. Too many thoughts", she murmured and brushed the mane on the black horse. She had just been training jumps in the arena, and was almost done with Raven, when Becky and Jade showed up beside her.
"You look... deep in thoughts", Jade told her, and Zoe sighed loudly, turning around to face them. "Yeah it's... it's Pin", she mumbled, her friends looking at her. "I thought you guys were doing great?" Becky said, and Zoe nodded. "We are. It's just... I don't know what is going on between us", she murmured, and the two other girls gazed at each other. "Well. How do you feel about him?" Jade asked and noticed her friends expression turned dreamy. "I really really like him. Actually I think I love him", Zoe answered a shy grin on her face. Becky chuckled and thought it was so cute, the way that Zoe always spoke about Pin. Like he was the most important thing in the world.
"So tell him", Becky said and Zoe looked at her. "It's not that simple", she answered, and Jade held up her hands. "Why isn't it? Zoe look, you like him, and he likes you. It's time you told each other... You are perfect together", she ended, and Zoe looked thoughtful for a minute, then it dawned on her. "You're right. You're absolutely right. One of us has to take the first step, and it might as well be me", she exclaimed, and her friends nodded in agreement. "Thanks guys", she said happily, giving them both a big hug.
"Zoe can we talk?" All three of them turned around to see Marcus standing a few feet away. He looked distraught, and the girls exchanged confused glances. "Sure", Zoe said worriedly and followed Marcus, leaving the two other girls puzzled.
Zoe followed Marcus to the other side of the stables, where they were on their own. He seemed flustered and uncertain and kept looking around. She gazed at him confused. "Are you okay?" she asked, never having seen this side of him before. He nodded and took a step towards her. "I know I haven't been fair to you about this whole Pin thing", he started, and Zoe immediately became uncomfortable and crossed her arms in front of her chest.
"But I just want you to know, that I'm totally fine with it", he told her, and she looked up at him an eyebrow raised. "You are?" she asked, not really believing him. He nodded. "At first I was really angry. I don't like Pin, and well... he's just not good enough for you", he said, and Zoe blushed slightly, knowing that Marcus definitely had feelings for her.
"However I'm okay now. If you are happy, then I'm happy... I like you Zoe. You deserve all the happiness you can get, and I am grateful for you being my friend", he finished and she couldn't help but grin at him. Their talk had been long overdue, and she was so pleased that he was okay with her seeing Pin. It had bothered her so much, and she felt relieved and calm.
