Rain bounced off the roof as Luciel checked his phone. Notifications popped up, and Luciel sighed as he checked the cameras for (Y/N). Nothing but the quiet girl laying on the couch.

"Nothing new. Maybe he really is gone. I should tell her," he commented to himself. As he checked the app, his phone went off.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Luciel. Anything... new?"

"Nope. Same as last week.

"I'll tell the others, thanks." Luciel hung up, dropped his phone on the bed, and grabbed his jacket. Snatching up his keys, he placed his phone in his pocket and headed out into the rain.

The rain was no more than a drizzle by the time Luciel reached the apartment building. As he reached for the door, his phone let out a meek buzz. He pulled it out and checked it, tensing at the message.

'She's very cute, huh?'

"What the-" Running inside, Luciel hurried up to (Y/N) apartment and unlocked the door. Pushing it open, he found her sleeping on the couch, with nothing having been moved out of place or taken. Even then, he couldn't shake the feeling Unknown was back.

"Luciel?" came a soft voice. He turned to find (Y/N) standing there, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Hey. Uhm, afternoon," he replied, rubbing his neck. "How are you?"

"A little sleepy. Didn't you knock, or did you just walk right in?"

"I guess I forgot to knock, sorry," he answered, looking down at his phone. The message was still there, with no answer from Luciel having been sent. Could he be messing with me?

"707, wake up!" (Y/N) said, and Luciel shook his head. The young girl was looking at him, slight anger hidden in her eyes.

"Sorry!" (Y/N) smiled and went to the kitchen, leaving him alone. His phone went off again and he looked at the screen.

'Someone is scared of me'

'Will you leave me alone!?'

'Never. See you soon.'

Luciel growled and turned his attention to th chatroom. Zen and Yoosung were busy talking about something, while Jumin and Jaehee were busy with work-related talk. V was the only one not on, as was usual for this time of the day. They were all acting normal as if nothing was wrong. Maybe I should tell them what happened.

"Luciel?"

"Yeah? Sorry," he said, sighing. "I should be going. See ya."

Turning, Luciel waved goodbye and left, leaving (Y/N) alone in the apartment. The rain had stopped by the time he got outside and all the way home, the clouds were getting lighter and lighter, letting the sun slowly come out the brighten the day before it could set.

It was late in the evening when Luciel received a call from his so-called assistant, Vanderwood.

"You really did all the work? That's a bit of a shock for you, Agent 707."

"I know. But sometimes you have to get the important things done first, since they are of higher priority, right?" Luciel responded, laughing a bit.

"Boss said you can take a few days off since you got all the week's work done," Vanderwood said. "So take it, Agent 707."

"Okay. See ya whenever," Luciel said, hanging up. Checking the time, he opened the messenger and read the messages from Unknown. Stop doing this to me. Just leave (Y/N) alone, and leave me alone, he thought, I'm sorry I left you but forgive me for that and stop.

Closing the app, he opened up the chatroom and looked over it.

Hey! Seven's here!
Lol lol, hi Seven

Hello Luciel. How are you?

I'm fine, just thinking about stuff.
Wondering if I should go pray or not.

I'm gonna get going. Sorry, I can't talk long.

bye

Luciel left the chatroom and sighed, turning off his phone. Setting it down, he turned his attention to the unopened bag of chips beside him. Even though they seemed to beg him to open them, he sighed. A memory had swelled up, his mother yelling at him to eat during dinner or go to bed hungry like before.

I didn't feel well, mom, he thought, and pushed the bag away. It landed on the floor with a soft thump and sat among the mess of bottles and papers around his bed. As he stared at the ceiling, sleep attempted to crawl over him, but he refused and turned his attention to the stack of papers by his computer.

Hours past as Luciel worked, doing everything he thought he needed to do until sleep finally got the best of him. He laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, as his mind and body shut down for the night. By the time he shut his eyes, sleep had already taken the wheel.

"Do you think mama cares about us? She won't let us go outside," a voice asked. Luciel was sitting in a corner of the dust room, holding a thick book.

"She does. She's just really worried we might get hurt," he answered.

"But she let you go out this morning, and you were gone for hours!"

"It's was only two and you aren't feeling well. Mom didn't want you to get sicker or get anyone else sick," Luciel said, flipping the page.

"Why are you so much stronger than me? Is there something wrong with me?" Luciel put the book down and looked at the watery golden eyes staring back at him.

"There is nothing wrong with you. Mom cares about us, but she's just making choices based on what she thinks is best for us. And we're both strong," he said.

"But Mama-"

"Do you want to read with me?" Luciel asked. The redhead in front of him looked away before nodding and moving closer.

"The belt of Orion is made of three great stars in a line, while the shoulder of the hunter is a bright orange star named?"

"Betelgeuse?"

"Yeah! See? You're getting better at remembering," Luciel said, smiling.

All I wanted was for us to be happy.
