Code of Families

"Blood is thicker than water." Famously described,

a quote used to say that family comes before other ties.

Though to me this isn't just the case,

Family can't be replaced,

But new people enter and join this estate.

Nevertheless, family isn't just blood

it includes those who can make you to feel good.

Just because it is deemed a family code,

Doesn't mean you can't write in people of your own.

Like the best friend who made you see

that a family tree isn't just everything you need.

And the pets we added, to our familial ties,

That have no relation, but remain by our side.

So blood may be thicker,

But to me water tastes sweeter,

As the bonds I have made, will remain the same.

A s a family is forever, and that will never deter,

But just because you don't share an ancestor

Doesn't mean it's any less spectacular.
