(Hello people! I see you enjoyed Chapter 5! 6 is here for more horror! It gets better from here I promise. Hope you enjoy it)
The kids ran through the front entrance, tripping off every alarm that surrounded the main entrance. Catherine saw her dad dead on the ground, "dad?!" Maxwell felt grief for her but kept her moving through the storm of bullets and military grade smoke grenades. The 5 children ran as fast as their legs could go. Finally, they found a wooded area and hid in the grass. The Military Guards looked around and lost them. They turned back, thinking the children went back to the asylum. They were kneeled down in thorn bushes, but the pain of bullets would sting more than small thorns. One of the random children ended up dead from sitting on the bush, having all the thorns slowly stab inside of the poor victim. "Thank God... We escaped them", Whispered Maxwell, out of breath. " Is Everyone Ok?", He continued. The group nodded in response and all got together trying to keep themselves strong. Maxwell automatically took role as leader, being the one who's been in the asylum the longest and has the most experience with surviving on his own, since his dad never taught him anything but to be violent to this world because that's the only way to get it to be nice to you. For once, he was right. Maxwell never thought of hurting anyone and only wanted to spread love. His dad saw that as being a pussy. A coward. "You're either a fighter or a victim!", he remembered his dad saying, " The World Isn't going to sugarcoat anything for you, son. It'll get fucking shitty from here and there's no changing that. You gotta man up. I didn't give birth to a little fucking bitch." The words stuck to his brain, never leaving. The world was against him and only he could carry his own wait. Maxwell tried to regain his thoughts and regroup with everyone, "sorry I spaced out, so we need to find a place to rest. The reason why I ran into this wooded area is because I remember one of my friends from school found this old abandoned cabin that is clean and very vacant for us. We cleaned it and kept it working and fresh, just in case we planned on running away or something." Runa smiled and her big brother's hand, "You're so smart big bro" She giggled. Maxwell smiled back and continued to speak, "so who's ever shot a gun before? " A majority of the group raised their hands, the only ones who didn't being Samantha and Kendra. "Alright great, because this cabin also has a great supply of weapons for us to have with us." The group all made excited sounds, apparently all being bloodthirsty. Weird. Suddenly the group heard guns being cocked and a large group of military men with loaded M16s aimed at the children stood around them.
"So god damned close.", Sighed Kendra.
