'To my dad...'

I zip up the last suitcase and place it outside ready to get into the car as Violet comes over with a single rose, " Because I love you Blaire!" She says with tears in here eyes, she knew how much I loved roses, so I embraced her in the biggest hug I could muster from deep inside of me, "I want you to win over the twins." She said in my ear. Violet made me realize that I needed to win this thing, not for me, but for her. "I will Vi, I will." I wisper back, confidently, and reassuringly. Let's go Blaire. I'm not waiting any longer!" Ryleah said impatiently. I hug Vi one more time and head into the car. "I love you." I mouthed out the back of the car window to Violet as the car drove into the great unknown of my not so great future.

I open the car door only to be trampled by Alice. "Oh my god! This is great!" She screamed as a lady in white came over to us, "The Alaan's?" "Yes miss?" I reply, "Jamie Writeë!" She said holding a hand out to me and my stepsisters. I had been doing some 'research' on the selection since I was determined to win. Even more so that Violet wanted me to. They shook her hand, while I curtsied. "Very very well miss Blaire! We take notice of how prim one can be. Thank you for passing the first test!" She said curtsying back. I flashed her a smile as the twins give me a glare that could kill a lion. And I gave one right back. "We have a crowd waiting for you outside the palace where you will get to meet your maids and they will take you to your dressing room!" Jamie said leading us over to the uproar that was getting louder by the step, I was wearing a dark red dress (above) and my combat boots with my leather jacket. My platinum blond hair up in an extremely neat bun. As we saw the crowd, I heard numerous people saying my name! "Blaire can you sign this please?" A little girl said holding out a guitar. "Of course I can sweetheart!" I grabbed the guitar and signed it. "Thanks lady Blaire!" She said giving me a bright smile filled with joy, happiness, and love. I continue to walk giving high fives and signing a bunch of things that people asked me to! Me! No one asked the twins. After meeting my maids I was aloud to go anywhere I pleased as long as I didn't disturb anyone or anything. So I put on my dads hoodie that he gave to me and went outside with my guitar. The gardens were marvelous. Red roses covered the entire garden. I felt at home here. I took out my guitar and started to sing, tears welling up in my eyes as I do so. (Insert song above here.) After singing and wiping my face clean of tears as I put my guitar away I hear clapping. "You have a very lovely voice lady Blaire!" I turn around to see him. Prince Kai. "Thank you your majesty!" I say curtsying " who was that song for?" "My dad... he gave it to me right before his passing." I say once again willing myself not to cry. "I'm sorry to hear that.. Maybe we could sing together?" "Sure!" I say with a smile. Wait. Together? That's when I realized I just agreed to sing with the prince of Atlantia.
