An Atlas Research Vault, Night

No One's p.o.v

The White Fang sent a group to infiltrate a research facility and collect information from its vault. Their goal is to steal multiple documents, such as those for top secret weapons. As they were searching, one of them noticed something.

WF #1: Hey, guys! Come check this out!

As his comrades came, they were given a strange sight. It was a dull rock. It had features that almost looked human and it was being lit up with UV light, but other than that, there was nothing else about it.

WF #2: Ooh, a rock. You really found a treasure, didn't you?

WF #1: But there's something weird about it. Why would it be under a UV light and inside a glass container?

WF #3: I don't know, but if we don't hurry u-

Guard: Freeze!

As the White Fang members turned around, they were met with multiple guards pointing their pistols at them. A huge shootout erupted, with bullets flying everywhere. One of them hit a power cord, dimming the lights. Taking advantage of their natural faunus ability to see in the dark, the White Fang members fled the scene, leaving all the stolen goods scattered on the floor. As the guards cleaned up, they talked about what happened.

Guard #1: Damned terrorists. We really should take care of those scum!

Guard #2: Easy there, pal. We don't know where they are, they have more trained members, and most of them are just faunus who are misguided. There's still some members of the White Fang that are peaceful.

Guard #1: Still, it'd make working here a hell of a lot easier.

Guard #2: We should get going. I have to get home and eat dinner with the wife.

Guard #3: Wait, what about the glass container with the rock? There's usually a UV light on that thing.

Guard #2: Must've broke when we did the shootout earlier. I'll call the mechanic in the morning, see if he can fix it.

Guard #1: Are you sure? It wouldn't be hanging out for decades with that light on it if there wasn't something important about it...

Guard #2: It's fine. What would turning off a rock's sunbathing do?

As the guards left the room, something happened inside the container. The rock moved.

Meanwhile...

(Y/N)'s p.o.v

Team RWBY and I were walking through downtown at night when I sudden pain in my head forced me to stop.

Blake: Hey, (Y/N). You ok? You look like you were in pain.

(Y/N): Yeah...I'm good.

But that wasn't true. Whatever I felt had power. Almost as much as Salem had. This was deeply concerning. If Salem was so evil and powerful, then thinking that something could rival her was almost a question of my sanity. I highly doubt it, but I still wonder: Is it possible something else has appeared that could rival me?

<---To Be Continued///

(A/N): I'm the author of this junk, you know me well. I'm finally back, to write some tales.
