"Freddie, what is all this?"

Jim almost yelled when he arrived at the dining room. The table was filled with food for more than ten persons, maybe even twenty. There were at least five different cakes, all the fruits that Jim could think of, more than ten different beverages and random snacks. That was the most wild breakfast Freddie had ever threw and he was with him for years now. That was wild.

"Is someone coming over to have breakfast?" He asked, while approaching Freddie and giving him a good morning kiss on his right cheek. He was sitting on the table and looked a bit anxious. "Your bandmates maybe? The Queen of England perhaps."

"Of course that someone is coming!" Freddie almost snapped. "Caroline is coming, Jim!"

"What?" Jim was shocked. He sat in the chair next to Freddie and blinked a few times. "You did all this for Caroline? You know that she is a tiny body, she's not going to eat all of this, Freddie."

"Of course I know that, I'm no fool darling!" Freddie whined, while resting his face on his hand. "We don't have no idea what she likes to eat so I decided to have literally everything for an amazing breakfast! I don't want to disappoint her, this is her first morning with us... Oh my god, is she going to be scared of me when she sees this huge table?"

"Freddie, just calm down." Jim said while he was getting some grapes. However, when he was about to start eating, Freddie's slapped his hand. "What?"

"You can't start before she arrives!"

"We have no idea when she's going to wake up, Freddie!" His husband complained. "I need to eat to go and take care of the garden."

"Oh, the garden is fucking fine!" It was Freddie's time to complain. "We're going to wait for her today!"

"Are you waiting for me?"

A soft voice interrupted both of them argument. Caroline was standing in the middle of both of them. She was still wearing her pyjamas and she was holding her rabbit. She scratched one of her eyes because she was still sleepy.

"I am very sorry for being late." She started while looking at her feet. "I hope you don't get mad at me."

"Oh honey, you aren't!" Freddie immediately said, while reaching his hand to her and touching her right cheek. "We just wanted to have breakfast with you, but you aren't late."

Caroline moved her gaze and looked at Freddie in an intrigued way, opening a shy smile. She then started looking at the table while both men were watching her reactions. First, she seemed proper confused at that whole food. Then she looked happy when her eyes stopped in the chocolate cake. And then, for Freddie's disappointment, she looked a bit unpleased.

"Is there something that you want that isn't on the table?" Jim started, while opening a smile on his face. "I'm sure we can arrange that."

"Well, I really wanted some eggs. Do you think its fine?"

"Of course!" Freddie immediately shouted. "However, we have to wait a bit because Joe is gone for gym practice but he's going to be back soon and he's going to cook the most perfect eggs for you, darling!"

"Oh, maybe we could do it!" She said, while opening a huge smile. "The three of us. We can cook the eggs together."

Freddie blinked a few times while staring at Caroline. Jim wanted to laugh at his husband's face. He had no idea how to boil an egg and he was currently freaking out at Caroline's request. However, the little girl grabbed his hand and then Jim's hand and pushed them towards the kitchen.

In a matter of a few seconds, Freddie, Jim and Caroline were already wearing aprons. Freddie had a huge yellow one that had a bunch of random words on it. He looked like someone had thrown all the yellow paint in the world on him. Jim had a flowers one and he was feeling very good about it, it was pretty beautiful. Caroline was the funniest little thing in the room. She was wearing a blue apron but, the problem was that the apron was too big for her, what amused all of them. The little girl grabbed a chair, dragged her until the stove and jumped on it. Jim went to pick up the eggs and Freddie just soot in the middle of the kitchen.

"Mr. Freddie, can you grab the pan please?" Caroline gently asked.

"Freddie, call me Freddie darling!"

"Freddie, can you grab the pan please?" Both of them laughed a bit.

And then Freddie panicked. He had no idea which of the things were a pan. He opened a few of kitchen cabinets and finally found the "things". He grabbed one of them that seemed appropriate and walked towards the stove with the proudest smile on his face.

"Here it is!" He said, while putting frying pan in the stove. Caroline and Jim just looked at each other. "What?"

"We're going to boil eggs, not fry them." Caroline said gently. "Freddie, you don't know how to boil an egg?"

"I..." Freddie's face went all scarlet. "I tried it once with Roger but it didn't work out very well."

"Clearly." Jim said in an amused way while switching the pans in the stove. "We're going to teach you, right Caroline?"

"Right, Jim!" She said, opening a big smile. "Who's Roger?"

"Roger is your... uncle?" Freddie answered while Jim was filling the pan with water.

"Is he your brother?" She was pretty curious. "Does he have biggest eyes like yours?"

"No, no, he's not my brother. He's just like my brother, I only have a sister."

"So, I'm going to have an aunt and an uncle? That seems good."

"We're going to have at least three uncles, darling!" Freddie answered in an excited way because he could sense her happiness. "And Jim has brothers and sisters too!"

"Oh, I always wanted to be part of a big family." The little girl said, while putting the eggs on the pan. "Freddie, what do you do for living?"

"Well, I'm a singer." He answered, while opening a big smile.

"And you Jim?"

"I'm a gardener. Not that impressive, I know." He joked.

"Oh, don't say that, I love flowers." Caroline complained. "Do you sing alone, Freddie?"

"I have a band."

"Oh, that sounds amazing. I think I'm lucky, you two have very good jobs."

They spoke about random things for a few minutes, while the eggs were boiling. When they were done, they went to the living room and had their proper meal together. Jim and Freddie were simply in love with that little girl. She was becoming the sunshine of that house and they were getting so attached to her in just a short time.

However, Jim was scared. He felt a huge happiness, but he also had a bit of pain in his tummy. He feared that Freddie realized that he didn't want to be a father or something like that. He also feared Mary's reaction to that, she could be a really nasty person when it came to Freddie's decision towards him. However, Jim knew that he had to trust his husband. One thing was for sure, Freddie loved him. That no one couldn't take away from him. Jim's thoughts were abruptly interrupted by an excited Caroline.

"I saw that you guys have a huge garden." She gesticulated with her arms, trying to prove that the garden was indeed huge. "What do you think about camping tonight?"

"I'm sorry dear, what?"
