CHAPTER 6

*Niall’s POV*

“Tell me!” she said again.

“No.” I smirked and she hit my arm. We were in the car on the way to the restaurant. I also heard there were going to be fireworks. Not that I was going to tell her about anything though! I was really nervous, I hope she likes it. I looked over at her again. She looked beautiful in her dress. Her hair was in a simple braid, but it still looked amazing.

We pulled up at the restaurant. I got out and quickly went around to the other side to open the door for her. I smiled at her and took her hand to lead her into the restaurant. It was a small, modern place, with a balcony overlooking the beach. We walked out to the almost empty balcony, taking in the view.

“Its beautiful.” Brooke breathed.

“Definitely.” I smiled. I was half talking about the view, but half about her.

We sat down and looked at our menus.

“What do you want?” she asked me.

“I don’t know, what about you?” I replied.

“Maybe…Pizza?” I giggled a bit at her childish choice. A manly giggle though, of course.

“What would you two like to eat today?” a very flamboyant waiter said, holding a notepad.

“Can we have the lamb pizza and the salami one please?” I asked.

“Sure thing.” He said, winking at me. Alright then… He walked away and Brooke burst out laughing.

“What?” I said.

“Sure thing babe, want my number too?” she said, mocking the waiter.

We both burst out laughing again, almost falling off our chairs.

“This is probably the best pizza I have ever had.” Said Brooke, chewing on a slice of pizza.

“Well unfortunately for you, it’s also my pizza.” I smirked, taking her half-eaten slice out of her hand and taking a big bite out of it.

“Hey!” she whined, slapping my hand and taking it back. I poked my tongue out at her.

“Well it’s the last piece of *ahem* MY pizza, so I can have it.” I grinned, putting the last bit of crust in my mouth. She pouted at me. Awww.

The flamboyant waiter started walking towards us again.

“Remember out bet.” Brooke whispered in my ear. We made a bet that if the waiter gave me his number, then I had to tell Brooke my ‘deepest darkest secret’.

“Its on.” I mouthed.

“So, did you enjoy your meal?” the waiter said, raising his eyebrows at me. Woah…

“Yes, it was good.” I replied, biting my lip.

“Would there be anything else tonight? Anything take your… fancy?” he asked flirtatiously. Brooke was almost pissing herself trying to hold back her laughter.

“Um, no. Thanks for the meal.” I said, taking the recite and grabbing Brooke’s hand, dragging her out of the restaurant, before she makes a puddle on the floor. We made it out the door and I unfolded the recite. Sure enough, there was a number written in fancy writing at the bottom. We cracked up laughing, clutching our stomachs and falling over with tears running down our faces. Oh my gosh, I didn’t think he would actually do that!

“Okay, now you have to tell me a secret.” She giggled.

“Let me show you something first.” I smiled, taking her hand and leading her down to the beach. She looked at me in confusion but I kept walking down to the sand and towards the huge rock face furthest away from the water.

We walked for a while, hand in hand, until we got to the bottom of the rocky cliff.

We stayed silent as I lead her into a small opening behind a tree, leading into a hollowed out room.

“Wow…” She breathed.  “Why did you want to take me here?”

“Because I’m going to tell you a secret.” I said.

She looked at me expectedly.

“Um, well, I really like you Brooke.” I confessed.

She looked up at me to meet my eyes.

“Really?” she asked.

“Yeah, um, well this might sound really stupid but… will you be my girlfriend?” I asked, scratching the back of my neck.

I got a shock when I felt her suddenly attack me in a hug, but I still hugged her back straight away.

“Of course I will.” She whispered in my ear. I grinned and leaned my head towards her. She leaned forward too until our lips were touching. I felt and heard fireworks. Literally, I heard them. Brooke grabbed my arm and pulled me outside to the open beach, where large, bright fireworks were lighting up the dark sky. She grinned at me and I slammed my lips into hers.
