Lily raises her hand to stop the sun from shining into her eyes.

"Uh... What time is it." Lily said to herself

She blindly grabs onto her alarm clock. It is completely without power.

"Shit." She whispers

She climbs out her bed still in the cloths she wore the previous evening. A sliver of light from the sun is all the illuminated the room. She slowly stumbles over the room as she makes her way over to the light switch and flicks it on, it does nothing.

"Damn, the power must have gone out last night." She says while rubbing her hand on her face to wake up

"I hope the water is warm at lease." she states to herself while beginning to strip off her cloths.

She slides her shirt over her head and throws it onto the bed, Soon followed by her pants. She struggle slightly while reaching behind her own back to unclasp her bra. She releases a slight sigh of relief as her small A cup breasts breath the open air. She slides down her underwear and adds it into the dirty cloths pile on the bed.

"I wish I could be like this all the time." she says allowed to herself while stretching her arms high into the unlit room

She walks over to the curtains and opens them as far as they can go, letting in as much light from the outside world as possible. She walks into the bathroom and turns on the water in the shower. She touches the water and it sends a shiver down her spine.

"Damn, No hot water." she says

She gets into the ice cold shower, leaving the bathroom door completely open so that what little light the is can filter into the bathroom with her. Spending no time at all cleaning herself and leaving the cold water, she gets back out of the shower. Before leaving the bathroom she pulls out her favorite towel out from behind the two glass doors and dries herself off with it and wraps up her hair into the towel to let it dry. She stand in front of the mirror and brushes her teeth while examining herself. Her shoulder length dark brown hair all wrapped up in the town on top of her head completely reveals her eyes. She was born with a strange genetic disease that has given her one light brown eye and one light blue eye. her thin frame glistens with the few remaining water droplets on her skin. Her little gemstone bellybutton piercing dangles free and Her cleanly shaven private area is a smooth as a babies bottom. She gives off a big sigh before leaving the bathroom.

"I wonder how long the power is going to be off." she thinks to herself

She makes her way over to the desk which it positioned right next to her bed. She opens her laptop, dead along with everything else in her room. She retrieves her phone from the nightstand. It still has 86% battery power remaining, but just as she expected, no service.

"What the hell is going on?" she questioned to herself

She closes her dead laptop and goes to her dresser, she slides on a clean pair of pink underwear and puts on a matching bra. She then reaches into her dresser a second time to retrieve a clean pair of jeans and a white shirt. She pulls her hair down and styles it just so there is a small strand of hair that covered up her light brown eye leaving her light blue eye visible to the world. Tossing her towel on the tile in the bathroom she leaves her apartment.

The hall way between the apartments is as empty and as dark as her own apartment was. All it quiet, too quiet in fact. She can usually hear arguing coming from 703, it was such a natural occurrence that she full anticipated it every morning. She made her way down the the elevator, and just ash she had expected, no power.

"Shit, I hate taking the stairs." she thought

She made her way over to the heavy metal door which lead to the stairs. She pushed open the door and looked over the railing. Sh could barely see the bottom floor from where she stood. She began her decent from the 7th floor all the bay to ground level. It felt like and eternity before she reached the bottom.

She pushed open the door which stood between her and he lobby of her apartment complex. The air was still as the grave when she entered the lobby, not a soul in sight.

"Hello," she said just shy of screaming it "Is anyone here?"

She looked over the counter where there is usually a person working, and to her surprise, there is no one there.

"Where is everyone?" she questioned

She made her way out the double glass doors and into the street. No sounds could be heard except for the faint sound of birds flapping their wings. No sounds from any humans could be heard at all.

"Hello!" She screamed into the empty streets of New York

"Can anyone hear me!?" She screamed again

The only voice that could be hears was her own echoing off the hundred story building which lay dormant around her. She wanders the empty streets, no clear sign of where everyone went. Car stopped in the middle of the street as if the drivers had simple vanished. The wind blowing trash around as if it was a tumbleweed in the big city. Everywhere she looked all she saw were empty stores and empty streets. New York City has never been this silent is all of history.

She approaches Time Square, there is still no sign of any living person. All her favorite shops are now barren of people, but still fully stocked of all their goods. No lights or sounds of any kind are saw of heard as she walked down the middle of the road avoiding all the cars in her way.

"There is no one here," She whispered to herself "No one in the entire city, but me."

Tears started to fill her eyes.

"What and I going to do?" She questioned while beginning to cry

"What the hell happened to everyone!" She screamed as it fell on def ears

She continued adventuring through the abandoned streets. Her fears and anxiety ever growing with every empty story and block she walked past. She continued until the sun slowly started to be blocked out by the buildings.

"I need to make my way back home before it gets too dark to see." she thought to herself

She just barely made it back into her apartment before all the light was removed from her room. She managed to find a flashlight and a few spare batteries in the utility closet in the lobe before she made her climb up the stairs. She entered her apartment and sat on the edge of her bed. Tears began to flow from her eyes like a tropical waterfall.

"What have I done to deserve this?" She cried

"I have lived my life the best I could," She continued "Is this hell?"

She laid down on her bed and slowly began to cry herself to sleep.
