Jimin could feel his agitation start to build when one of his many brothers once again kicked him in the side. Jimin huffed before rolling and turning to get in a more comfortable position on their tribes sleeping pile. The whole tribe tended to sleep together in piles in a large cave or abandon ruins to conserve heat at night. Though Jimin liked the warmth and the closeness it brought himself and his people it could also be a very annoying set up when you have to sleep piled up with so many people he considered brothers and sisters and your a light sleeper.
Jimin watched as one of his sisters fell off the top of a particularly high lump of people. Her body made a considerably loud thump when she hit the ground and Jimin winced a little at the sound, but he was unsurprised when she just continued snoring only scooting back closer to the pile of people when she started to get cold again. Jimin watched in envy as she did. He wished he could sleep that heavy. Jimin, realizing he was not going to be able to get back to sleep, looked at the cave entrance to see the sun wasn't even peaking over the horizon yet but the sky was at least noticeably lighter.
He decided to get up and start looking for some breakfast for himself and maybe a little for the more smaller members of their tribe, who couldn't really get it for themselves just yet. Jimin stood and was about to walk out the cave when he heard one of his younger brother's voice.
"Jimin? Where you going? It's cold outside. Come lay back down." His little brother said scooting over a bit on the furs they kept on the ground motioning for Jimin to lay and cuddle with him. Jimin smiled at the offer.
"I'm getting some food but you just go back to sleep." Jimin said and he could see his brother considering to argue about him needing more sleep but the boys own sleepiness won out and he just grunted an okay before turning to push deeper into the pile of people. Jimin walked out and shivered as the cold air made contact with exposed body. Jimin walked over to the baskets of fur by the entrance of the cave grabbing a random shirt, pants and boots all made of animal skins.
His people like many other tribes shared everything. From their clothing to food to all other aspects of life. A tribe was considered a family and they often referred to each other as brothers and sister. And when two tribes met cousins when they are together even if their not blood related. They all slept naked huddle together for warmth and left their clothes in large baskets by the entrances to be grabbed by anyone who needed them.
Once Jimin was dressed he bent down to grab a smaller basket to use for his food collecting. He wouldn't go far because usually they go out in groups or 3 to 10 for safety reasons. So he stayed close where if he needed help his family would hear him. Jimin began climbing fruit trees with skill and precision that only came with a lifetime of being a nomad. Once he made it to the top where to juicier fruit was he sat down on a sturdy branch and began picking fruit for the basket he held in his lap. All the while keeping his eyes and ears open for any signs of danger.
Jimin continued this for what must a been an hour because the sun was soon rising in the sky. Jimin took that as his cue to get home. A few of his siblings should be waking now. They'd probably be mad at him for going out alone, but he'd be sure to give them fruit so they wouldn't complain too much.
He was right to guess they were all starting to wake up. The early risers tended to wake everyone up once they themselves got up so the tribe could pack their things to resume their journey. If they wanted to eat some buffalo (A/N: If it seems like some of the animals in the story seem to not be native to certain countries. Take into account zoo animals that would have escaped and populated after an apocalypse) they would have to be quick to catch the passing migration.
