You are in the ED waiting for news about Tommy Mansfield
"(Y/N) you don't look too happy," Doctor Bloom remarks
"Nah it's been one of those days," you respond
"what do you mean one of those days?"
"you know how you get those days that you know will be chaotic and you don't want to go to work?" you answer her question with another question
"yes now I know what you mean, anyway is there anything you need?" Bloom asks so she can help you
"Floyd has the info I need and he is currently getting a bullet out of a guy's chest," you reply wishing you could talk to him
"you're talking about Tommy Mansfield right?"
"Yes I am," you reply
"anyway, I should probably talk to Max again,"
"Ok let me know if you need anything," Bloom responds as you leave
Two minutes later and you are by Max's bedside again. There is an awkward silence
"You know you should've told me about the cancer sooner," you remark
"What difference would it make," he retorts
"It would make all the difference because I could have been ready for this," you respond as your anger boils up
"Look I'm sorry ok but there is nothing I can do," he says giving you a concerned look
"Your right," you have reached the peak of your emotions
"But I don't care you should of told me," you get up in a fit of rage
"(Y/N)..." he calls out to you but he stops because he realises there is no point
Thirty seconds later you are in the hallway. You are really upset
"(Y/N) I was looking for you," Floyd says as he approaches you
"Now's not a good time," you say blowing him off
"But it's about Tommy Mansfield," he responds
"Good or Bad?" you ask
"Good" he replies
"You have two minutes," you snap
"Well he is going to pull through but he won't be playing for two seasons, done," he spurts the info for you
"Thank you for making my day bearable," you say relieved that it's good news on the Tommy Mansfield side but you also think about Jessica's mother
"Glad I could help," Floyd replies with a grin
"Anyway, I've got to see Iggy about something," you leave
