A Forbidden Paradise

An Intolerable Plan

On the bus ride to Wellmore's, I really started to think about what had happened to our world. From all of the history books I had read. Apparently our 52 president had decided that we needed to have more buildings than any other country on Earth.

We had lots of landscapes and forests, but they were all replaced with concrete jungles. The farming business was stopped, and industrialization became huge. Many new technologies have been created since then including, hovering cars and trucks, laser technology, talking appliances, and more.

Later when Michael Lee Fisher, the biggest business owner throughout America, became President, they put the computer-minded initiation into order. He believed that all of humanity needed to be smart enough to not have any accidents happen, and be able to work at any age. Nowadays, you'll see 6 year olds being a cashier at a barista.

The way the computer-minded initiation worked, was you went to Crenshaw Labs, and got a small microchip implanted into your brain. The way they did their job, was they used the technology to invade the brain cells. Once they had invaded the brain cells, they would pour information out of a computers mind into your brain. They also strengthened the brain, so it could hold all of the information put into it. However, there were some issues.

Some of the test subject's brain cells didn't work with the microchip. They fought back all of the data that was put into them. It eventually ended with the brain cells dying, or getting paralyzed, making the test subjects go into a coma.

President Fisher thought that it would be best for everyone to have it implanted into their brains. He even made it illegal to not have the process done! When Fisher said that he wanted everyone to have the surgery done to them, that included the people at his own company, Crenshaw Labs. That was the reason that my dad decided to quit his job.

I gazed out at the many skyscrapers as our bus turned a corner. You might be wondering why no one has tried to arrest us if we are on a school bus, headed to an illegal school. How would they not see us? Well, the outward appearance of the bus can change into many different vehicles. At one moment it could be a delivery truck, at another, an ambulance. These disguises help us to get to our school without being noticed most of the time.

Even though our school is different than the rest of the world, we still don't have any trees or gardens or anything. Most of the kids that go to our school wish that they could see a piece of nature. Little do they know, that I know where one is.
