Free At last

I stumble up the stairs of my school, the cause of my condition. when I finally reach the roof, The Icey morning breeze brings back memories of how all this began, I was at a campsite with my friends, Todoroki and Bakugo, we had been looking forward to that camping trip for months...
"(y/n)... (Y/N)!!! Wake up!!!!"

"w...whaaatt. Todorokiiii.."

"its time to get up NERD"

"Shut it Bakugo, and Todoroki why must I get up?"

I sit up and look around all I can see is a trashed campsite OUR campsite I shoot up faster than a lightning bolt
"GUYS WHAT HAPPENED?!!"

Todoroki answers me with
"who do you think,... It was the League... I don't even know how they knew we were here."

Bakugo walked up to me and said: "next time I see those bastards their dead"

as soon as he says that almost on cue they show up. "huh... And what exactly are you gonna do... Well, wannabee?"

Bakugo looks like he could explode at this point, and Todoroki has a fire in his eyes that you could never cool

At this point a fight broke out, the League leading the charge toward each other, this was not going to end well... Tomora the leader of the league charged for me, I was ready to take him, he's a pretty scrawny guy with a serious need for some Chapstick. But just as he gets to me, he pulls out a knife. I pull back but I'm not quick enough and he stabs me, right in the eye, the pain sends me straight to the ground covering my wound blood gushing from my left eye, I scream so loud you could probably hear in for miles, Todoroki and Bakugo both look my way Tomora letting out a maniacal laugh that sounded as though it had come from hell itself. Bakugo runs up and punches Tomora right in the face knocking him out faster than my eye could follow, Todoroki runs to me while Bakugo is threatening the league to get them to leave, which they do now that their leader is out.

I get up, despite protests coming from my friends. A few weeks later I'm finally allowed to go back to school Tomora didn't get in trouble, but that's only because of who his dad is. Obviously, I can't see through my left eye but that's to be expected. The story going around the school is that me, Todoroki and Bakugo, crashed Tomora's camping trip and my injury was because I tripped and fell on a stick, anyway, as soon as I get to the school Todoroki and Bakugo are waiting at the gate for me.

they tell me to be prepared for what is gonna happen when we go into the school when I walk in every student within view of me and my friends turns and looks at us. A silence that seems to last an eternity finally breaks when a guy yells "look it's the freak" as soon as the deafening echo goes silent the halls start to howl with insults and abuse from the students toward us. Todoroki lifts me up in the air and Bakugo is pushing people out of the way now "Todoroki let me down!.." "no (y/n)" "then at least tell me where we're going..." "the roof... The headmaster gave us permission to go there coz no-one else does and we won't be harassed by the others, he knows what really happened... He just can't say anything." "let me guess Tomora's father..." the crowds now gone Todoroki lets me down and were now at the stairway to the roof I'd never actually been here before it's so out of the way there's nothing else here. when I start to walk I fail to see something on the floor and trip, but Bakugo catches me "watch it! Seriously how clumsy can you get" "s..sorry Bakugo" "its ok just be more careful (y/n)" "its not ok Todoroki she/he could got her/himself seriously hurt!" we've reached the roof now its surprisingly beautiful here "every day lets meet up here" "and don't forget lunchtimes Todoroki" "ok guys ill come up here at lunches and in the morning alright" as soon as I finish taking they both simultaneously say "good, make sure you do!"

and just like I said I showed up every day but after a while, they started showing up less and less. Eventually, I found out they were offered freedom from the bullying if they ignored me. so I went to talk to them to see if it was true, if my only friends had truly abandoned me, when I finally found them they only had one thing to say yet again at the same time "fuck off loser!" these words like needles in my throat I turned and ran. all I heard were the laughs of my only friends, I will never stop calling them my friends, I go home and all I see is an empty cold house devoid of life so I go to sleep hoping I will never wake up. but I do.

I get ready for school like every other day leave the house and locking the door. on my way to school, I hear the normal ridiculing and name-calling that I now don't even pay attention to. I get to school and wave to Todoroki and Bakugo, I don't really care if they ignore me. I walk down the hall and head towards the stairs to the roof, I stumble up these stairs and finally reach the roof. The Icey morning breeze reminding me of the camp and everything after it, I take off my shoes while singing my a song I once heard. I walk up to the ledge, now crying and in pain, it feels as though there is barbed wire around my neck. as I reach the end of the song I lean forward... I feel refreshed and free then I fall off the roof, my last words "Free At last".
