She meets them

" Mum I'm going to the park, I finish unpacking" I call down stairs to mum. "ok be back before dark" she yells back. I was new here and I finish packing. we moved here in USA cause Australia wasn't what we liked much, we needed something new. I had long brown hair with a side fringe. brown eyes and olive skin. I was girly but I loved my sports and I like art and fashion. I look through my closet and get out a nice foley singlet and short denim short. it was a girly out fit. I put eyeliner on and mascara on and run down stairs. We moved to a calm street and we lived at the end of one, a dead end road so it was silent a little. from my house I could just see the park. I walk over to see about 10 kids there my age. 5 boys on the basketball courts playing match and the 5 girls sitting down laughing and talking. I was nervous cause I didn't know them. I walk over. " hi I'm Anna, I'm new here, can I talk with you guys?" I ask nicely. " Sure, we were just talking about a ice cream truck rolled over and the whole street covered in ice cream" a girl says and I sit next to her. She had very long brown hair with a lot of blond pits in. she had braces and was tanned, pretty.

" So what's your names" I ask. " this is kiana, lily, Jamie, Lara and I'm Rebecca" she says showing me the girls. kiana was had short brown hair and she wasn't so pretty, no good at fashion and was a little small. lily was next to Rebecca and she had dark brown hair with a 50s style. Jamie was younger by about 2 years and was cut with her blond hair. Lara was African American and was the same age as Jamie. Rebecca was the leader and lily was next to her. they seemed really nice. " so where you from" Rebecca asks. " Australia, we just moved today" I say. then the group of boys walk over. " hi.." the leader said shyly. I smile back. what's the new girls name" one of the boys said, African American. " this is Anna josh, she's from australia" Rebecca introduces me to josh. " I'm Devin, this is spencer my best mate, josh, jake and Luke" Devin ( one who first said hi) says introducing me to his friends. Devin had braces and had cool light town hair. tanned and was really cute. spencer was pale and had short dark brown hair. jake and like were both around 11 and had light brown hair. " so what you into?" Devin asks holding a basketball in a cool way. " well I'm into sports, fashion, art" I says. " So when you mean sport like do you mean girly sports like netball, volleyball and tennis or are you into sports like basketball, football, soccer" he asks. " yea stuff like football and stuff" I say and he gave me a side smile. " wait so your a girly girl but you like football and basketball" spencer says concussed. " yea why...?" I ask. " I'm well your either a girly girl or a tom boy, which one" he says a little meanly. " I don't know, where I come from all girls were girly but loved sport too, if you don't like sport you wouldn't have any friends" I say. " true but all girls at our school only do dancing" he says. " excuses me but we don't, we just watch sport" lily says girly and snappy. spencer rolls his eyes. " Well I'm guessing your going to the local school like us" josh says. " yea" I say smiling. " Cool" Devin says smiling at me. " let's go play some basketball, girls wanna watch?" Spencer's says. we agree and we sit down on the basketball courts out side the lines so were not on the court. "so do lime them?" Rebecca asks as they warm up. "yea they seem cool, Devin seems really nice" I say. "yea he is, he's my step brother but I live on the other street" Rebecca says. they start playing and they were ok. then spencer came up to me with the basketball. " so watch this ok" he says and runs to the 3 point line. he throughs the ball in the hoop and he gets it in. he runs back over to me. " Cool hu" he says proudly. " it is, can you do more?" I ask. he nods and get the basketball. he stand a meter away from my and dribbles it in and out through his legs like what you see in the movies. " cool, how long have you been playing?" I ask smiling. " for a couple if years, we all grew up here" he says. " come I spencer, stop showing off and let's play" jake whines like a little kid. he was denims little brother. they play some more. " ok well at school we have this thing in our group were you have to wear the same color as us on pasific days, here is a table of what you would wear, were really into fashion." Rebecca says handing me a paper with a time table on it

Monday: blue or green

Tuesday: wear a dress

Wensday: yellow or orange

Thursday: pink or purple

Friday: wear a dress

"Why?" I ask studying it. " well we want to stand out of the crowed, and plus were very organised." Rebecca says happily. " so what is school like?" I ask. " well we have our own group. Were popular but we stick together,the 11 of us." She says. I look at her confused. " there's only 10 of you though" I say. we smile widens. " your apart of the group to now" she says and it makes me smile. they guys come over to us blocking the sun. " what you guys wanna do?" Devin asks. " well me and the girls were going over to Lily's house for a while, Anna you coming" Rebecca asks me. " why don't she hang with us to play some basketball or somthing" Devin says. " well it's up to her, but were leaving" Rebecca says. " um, I wanna play some sport sorry, haven't played it for a week" I say and me and the girls get up. " ok well we will see you at school tomorrow, bye" Rebecca says and her and the rest of the girls go. i turn back to the boys. "So what sport do you wanna play?" Devin asks. " soccer?" I say. " sweet, 3 agents 3, me Anna and spencer and luke, josh and jake on the other team" Devin says giving me a wink. I see spencer glaring at him.

After the game...

We won and we walked back to the basketball courts. " it's getting dark, we all better go" Devin says. " yea, I'll see you at school tomorow" jake says and walks away with Luke. " um so about school, how long does it take to walk from this street to there?" I ask spencer and Devin. " well I live 2 doors down so if you want meet me on the street at 8:15 And we can walk to school together" Devin says. " sweet, thanks" I says and we both smile. " ok well when you start school, we all are in a group so if I was you I would go off making friends with the losers, or you would not have us" spencer says siriousely. " ok...?" I replie. " well see you tommorow spencer" Devin says and spencer walks down the street. we both walk to the road. " see you tommorow, oh and don't bother bringing money tommorow, spencer gets money from other kids" Devin laughs. " what as in steal their money" I say. " yup, I know it's mean but we can't make him stop" he laughs. we go our own spectate ways yelling out to each other "see you tommorow".
