The truth is, I am a very shy and awkward person (like my author).
This is why when I had to do a play at school today, I got stage fright.
And to make it worse, Hariko the class snob loves to tease me. She is my life enemy. Pity that she has such a nice name.
Don't make me tell you why.
It went like this:
Miss Fukushima ushered me up the stage. Cardboard trees stood on either side of the wooden platform.
A boy called Jake, who was in my class, stepped forward.
"I a-a-ask y-you, Queen of The Skies, m-m-may I pass th-through your g-g-golden gates?"
he stuttered.
I assumed a haughty pose. Giggles erupted from the students. My face blushed terribly tomatoey red. I resumed my normal posture.
"N-n-no," I stuttered back. "You may not."
"Why, Your Highness?" Jake questioned.
"Because that gate is my possession and only people related to me by kin will pass through that gate!" I shouted, my voice echoing throughout the hall. I spread my arms out for emphasis when - boom - a gigantic cardboard tree fell on top of me. The hall grew silent.
Then shrieks of laughter erupted, filling the hall with wild laughs.
I pushed the tree aside and stumbled to my feet. My best friend Aki followed me out the room.
Hariko yelled after us, "Goodbye, stage-fright!"
I ran out of the school gates, holding back hot tears. Aki held my hand as I leaned against a thick tree and let the tears go free.
