The cold metal of my bracelet tickles my wrist as I flail my arms wildly at the girl standing at the edge of the cliff.
"Stop!" I shout, running to the top of the cliff. When I reach the top of the cliff, I bend down and rest my hands on my knees, out of breath.
"Bro, I have never seen someone run so fast in my life. What motivated you?"
Honey. The girl's voice was as smooth as honey. I look up. "I may have thought that you were about to jump off of the cliff. You weren't, were you?"
She tilts her head back, her honey brown hair touching the grass as her melody of a laugh fills the air.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" she winks. Chuckling, I walk forwards and sit down next to her. Our legs dangle off the edge. She smells like honey.
"This is really fucking high." I state, and she stays silent. I turn towards her.
She smiles at me. The ocean reflects in her eyes, those beautiful blue eyes.
"It is. That's why I like it up here. Thinking about whether or not you're about to fall to your death really distracts you from your daily problems, you know."
For the second time today, I laugh. And even though I was on my way to the Beach Bar, I have already decided that if this girl is planning on sitting on this cliff for the rest of the night, hell, for the rest of the week, I'd be sitting here as well.
