deception

the traitor

javier pulled over near a deserted building a few blocks from pier 15. he stepped out of his vehicle and observed for a while. nothing looked suspicious.

he expected men on a lookout but there's none. the place was absolutely empty. he took a deep breath and scanned the area for any possible clues. and there in one of the side windows was an image similar on what was in his invitation

the symbol of the red serpents. he made his way to where the image was plastered, it only contained an arrow pointing to a direction which he followed. he found himself on an opening where he saw two other men

"sino ka?" the thin man wearing a metallica shirt and old cargo pants asked while puffing a cigarette

"whose asking?" he replied with arrogance

"wag mo kong daanin sa ingles di kita naiintindihan baka gusto mong gripuhan kita" mayabang na pahayag ni theo

"tumigil ka nga! puro ka satsat" the other man with a muscular built on his late forties wearing a black shirt and dark trousers cussed

"nagtatanong lang ako malay ko ba kung parak yan" theo complained

"kung parak yan di sana hindi yan pinapunta ni perez" janus reasoned "lahat tayo dito kriminal"

suddenly a motorcycle pulled over. the rider was wearing a black leather jacket and a pair of leather pants. after taking off the helmet, the three men were surprised to see a beautiful young lady with her long wavy hair scattered all over her face

"good afternoon gentlemen, sorry i was late." she seated at her bike while removing her jacket. "traffic"

she was wearing a black spaghetti strapped midrift. javier noticed a tatoo near her collarbone although he was not able to determine the design.

"eyes up front gentlemen." she called their attention when she noticed all of them looking at her body while she took off her jacket

as javier moved his eyes, his gaze was met with a pair of hazel eyes, it maybe dark and vicious but for a brief moment, he saw something that he was not able to describe. not yet at least.

"before we commence, i'll tell you a secret" she continued while drawing a gun "i was sent here by the executives because i get the job done"

no one dared to speak. she unlock the barrel and walked towards janus

"one of you here is a spy." she stated. her eyes directed at janus then she moved to javier

"unfortunately, for me" her eyes squinted at him, her gazed was piercing  "i don't like being watched."

she glared at javier and walked past him

"i will give you ten seconds to walk away" she was now in front of theo "unharmed"

every men held their own breaths.

"10" she shouted

no one moved. so she continued

"and just so you know, i'll make each and everyone of you prove your worth... 9"

everyone kept a straight face

"so if you're not ready you can still walk out... 8"

none of the three men showed emotion

"i like the attitude so far... 7" she smiled coyly

still no one flinched

"no takers?... 6"

everyone stayed still
