"You're loved, Milly, you're beautiful and you are a confident, amazing woman with a breathtaking personality," Milly repeats to herself as she stares at her reflection.

"Milly, breakfast!!" Her mum yells from the kitchen.

"I'm coming," she says as she takes a final glance at herself in the mirror, "good enough," she takes her denim jacket and slips it on over her black top and sleek black jeans before meeting her dad in the kitchen frying the bacon, with her mum making the coffee.

"Hey baby," he says laying a gentle kiss on her head,"how'd you sleep?"

"Good I guess, dad are taking me to school today or do you have work?" She inquires stealing a bacon from his plate and slipping it into her mouth.

"Actually neither, you have the honor of being with your mum for the day and I have to go see your brother,"

"What has he done this time,"she says rolling her eyes at the statement made by her dad, she knew that word 'visiting' meant her dad would come back grumpy and annoyed because her brother, Milton probably wants to become a fashion designer or a model but her dad wants him to study law like he wants her to study law.

"Don't worry about it, honey, now are you ready to go to school, I have to be in the hospital by 10," her mum said taking another sip of coffee.

"Do I have a choice?" She replies while slipping on her backpack.

"No, you do not," her mum says joyously parading past her with keys while her dad kisses her goodbye.

They got into the car, Milly turned up the radio with her mum turning it back down, fiddling with the steering wheel as she turns the car in ignition.

"Milly, we need to talk," she silently says over the radio.

"Mum is everything good, I mean are you okay," Milly said finally noticing the dark circles and her mum's puffy eyes, "mum can you please tell me what's wrong?"

"Milly, you're turning 18 soon, I just need you to be careful, I need you to promise me that no matter what you'd be careful," she intently stares into outer space but still trying to keep her mind on the road.

"I'd be good but you have to tell me what's wrong at least explain to me what happened and why you were crying?"

"Milly when you see nature, isn't it beautiful? it's peaceful, that's all you need to look at. Anytime you feel lost, anytime you feel broken just remember nature has no one but it doesn't wither without being missed, people destroy it but it keeps building back, do you understand me?" She tells her with a tear rolling her cheek.

"I think so but you have to explain," Milly says, using a finger to wipe her tear away.

"I can't explain something you already know, I can't tell you something you feel," her mum tells her, "I love you, Milly,"she pulls up to her school giving her a kiss goodbye.

"I love you too, mum," Milly hops out of the car before turning back to give a wave goodbye and walks through the doors of her school. She couldn't stop wondering and thinking about what her mum was saying, what she meant, 'if she felt broken' she always knew her parents were crazy people but this seemed too crazy even for her her mum.

"Boom!!!" Eva screamed almost knocking Milly to the ground, "Sometimes I wonder where that head of yours is always at," she says with a smile.

"Are you trying to kill me? I could've died, I could've, I could've fallen and all, you'd have just said sorry,"

"You really do not know how valuable a sorry from Eva Ruby Jefferson is and you'd get lucky twice cause she's your best friend," she replies with a smile showing off her chopped front teeth which she got from a fight in kindergarten,Eva was a tall slender girl with forest green eyes and brown hair.

"I have no words for you, I'm going to class you vain child and do not I Repeat do not follow me"she said contemplating on whether to tell Eva about her mum or not as she walks off to class.

"Technically you know that impossible, you beautiful soon to be birthday girl plus we have the same class stupid,"Eva says running up to catch up as they turn into their philosophy class.
