On the date (No one's POV)
Tony ran out the door, grabbing the keys on her way. He jumped into a Bentley and started driving off. He drove away, very quickly. He nearly ran into the park but quickly realised that it would not be 'cool' at all.
Stephen was sitting, leaning against a tree, reading a book and generally looking calm. Tony slowly sneaked behind the tree.
"Whatcha reading, Stephen?"
"OH MY GOD! Jesus christ don't sneak up on me like that!" Stephen said loudly and lightly pushed Tony away because he was laughing.
"I'm sorry, you just always look calm so I wanted to see if i could scare you!" He exclaimed between laughs.
"It's not funny!"
"Ok ok, so what do you wanna do?"
Tony flopped down next to Stephen. Then he realised how close he was to him, he could feel his face heating up and quickly looked away.
"You're cute when you blush, you know that right?" Tony blushed but suddenly looked sad, "Are you okay Tony? Oh, I'm sorry, was it too early? Sorry" Stephen gushed looking panicked.
"No it's not you, it's just I- well- I haven't had a genuine compliment in... Forever."
"Why? You're awesome."
"When I was in a relationship with Steve at the start it was incredible, he seemed to love me. He would compliment me all the time, hug me, kiss me. But then it started changing, he would not be as excited to see me at the end of missions and things.
Then it just got worse, he wouldn't even say goodbye to me when he went on missions. Then I found out he was cheating on me.." Tony said a tear slipping down his cheek,
"It was with this man called Bucky, He's great, he didn't know either. It wasn't even him that told me the truth, it was Clint and Nat. They told me that they saw Steve kissing Bucky. I met up with Bucky and asked him about it and me and him talked about it and it ended up both of us breaking down. No one could calm us down for us down for days on end.
Then for the first time in a while a little ray of sunshine came into my life, Peter. He cheered me and Bucky up so much it was unbelievable" Tony started to smile, but tears were still streaming down his face, "He just uplifts everyone in the building, he can even get Natasha to show emotions.
But with Steve still living in the tower it was hard. If I ever brought anyone back, even just friends and soon it just got worse. It got to the point when I couldn't talk to Bruce without Steve jumping down my throat.
Soon I kicked him out. He keeps coming back like you saw, either saying he is sorry or yelling at me" By the end of this Tony eyes were puffy and so many tears were rolling down his face it could fill a pool.
Stephen pulled the shorter man into a hug for a while then pulled away and looked into Tony's beautiful brown eyes.
"Don't ever let him bring you down again."
They walked out of the park and to the nearby coffee shop. They ordered their coffee, black for Stephen and white with sugar for Tony.
"How do you drink that, it's so bitter?!" Tony asked
"I don't know I just do"
"Okay" Tony replied and they sat in comfortable silence for a while.
