Vickie Guerrero had just finished getting ready for another day of being the general manager of Smackdown Live when she heard footsteps making their way towards her. She knew that it wasn't high heels clicking so she paid closer attention, only to guess that the sound came from someone's sneakers. The footsteps only got louder as the footsteps neared her.
She turned to see who it was, only to find out it was the Smackdown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon with a serious expression on his face. Vickie was surprised to say the least when she saw him. He hardly ever approached her with such an expression, given that he seemed more fun one out of him and his sister, Stephanie.
Shane had appointed Vickie to be the Smackdown General Manager after Daniel Bryan had left the seat to wrestle full time again. This was all in hopes to have another general manager take his place and much to everyone's surprise, Vickie was chosen. Vickie had her moments but by the standards of most of the audience and the wrestlers, Vickie wasn't the best general manager, but she wasn't terrible at first.
However in recent time, things began to take a turn when Shane had noticed that Vickie had been under some trouble. She had been scolded by Charlotte, harassed by Carmella, and given the silent treatment by Asuka and Becky. To the other wrestlers including the women, Vickie had been making some rather poor decisions.
Vickie had put Charlotte, Becky, and Asuka in several tag matches, something that wasn't very pleasing to the fans. She also had Carmella hardly wrestle at all and if Carmella wrestled at all, she had been rather sloppy for the most part, although Carmella seemed quite pleased with wrestling less.
Vickie had also done atrocious things for the men, but it was her decisions with the women's division that was more troubling and received more attention than anything else. It seemed like half of the time, Vickie had invited former Smackdown general manager Teddy Long when it came to such decisions on what to do. Saying that it didn't sit well with the wrestlers was an understatement. Several of them wanted to speak up about them but were often too afraid to at first because of Vickie's notorious tantrum she could possibly throw if words weren't chosen carefully.
Shane wasn't going to allow that this time. Instead, he was going to temporarily put Vickie in her own place without any form of hesitation. He remembered as time went on, some of the superstars walked up to him, deeply troubled by Vickie's decisions and formally addressing their concerns to him. However, there was one person that stood out to him on such a level that an idea flew into his head. He dropped the serious expression then gave a low-key cunning smile that caused Vickie to tremble slightly.
"Vickie," said he. "I've had people come up to me about how troubled they are with your decisions. However, there was one person who was really on her toes about this."
"Who?" wondered Vickie.
"Becky Lynch. Speaking of that, I have an idea for you— "
"What is that?"
Shane let out a heavy sigh before he spoke.
"I'm going to have you in a match against Becky Lynch."
Vickie's mouth opened in drop dead shock and horror. She had seen Becky wrestle in the ring and she remembered how insanely good the fiery Irish woman was. Vickie was sure that even if Becky was lenient on her, she would still be on the losing end. The thought of having a match with the Irish superstar left her in complete shock. It reminded her very vividly of when she was placed in a match against AJ Lee quite some years ago, someone whose skills would do enough to kill her chances. However, Vickie knew that Becky was even better and at this point, she knew her chances at winning were very slim, and that was putting it ever so lightly.
"Are you kidding me?" she bellowed.
"Excuse me, Vickie," replied Shane with a cheeky smirk on his face.
He turned to leave before Vickie could answer. He walked like some sort of casual high school kid who thought he was too cool for anyone.
Vickie was left alone, stunned by Shane's cheekiness. She couldn't believe that she was being insulted like this and it infuriated her.
All she did was let out a scream of unimaginable rage. The temper was even greater than that of a child. She screamed until she had no more breath to do so.
Becky Lynch was currently warming up since she knew she had a singles match coming up. She just didn't know who she would be up against, but she assumed it would probably be up against one of the Iconics, Mandy, Sonya, Lana, or Tamina.
She was however surprised when she saw Shane McMahon walking up to her. She gave him a smile when he stopped in front of her.
"Hello Becky," said Shane.
"Hello, Shane," smiled Becky.
Shane smiled then placed a hand on the Irish superstar's shoulder, still smiling at her.
"I have something to tell you, Becky."
"What is it?"
Shane gently patted Becky's shoulder before he spoke.
"Becky, I've already talked to her about this arrangement but you will be facing general manager Vickie Guerrero."
Becky's eyes widened with surprise at first but then the ecstatic thoughts raced through her head. She was happy to finally face the woman who had given her and the others so much trouble for the past few weeks.
"Oh thank you!" she squealed in delight.
She walked down the hall, still cheering for herself while Shane simply chuckled at the sight. It pleased him to see the Irish woman look excited beyond words.
Shane hoped for nothing but the best for Becky in her upcoming match. It was time for the orange-haired woman to put the sorry excuse of a Smackdown General Manager in her place whether if she liked it or not.
Here's a funnier story I have here. This will indeed be a two-shot story because why not? I am currently working on two different stories, one for Evolution and one for Halloween. As for the Halloween one, you're probably wondering if it's gonna be a WWE one and to be honest, you'll just have to wait to find out. When I finish the Halloween story (which I'll post maybe a day or so before Halloween), I'm considering on reading it for the YouTubes as a Halloween special video. It'll be awesome indeed! Also, I've been meaning to mention this, but I keep forgetting to. I'm sorry if I don't read PMs often and really only respond when I'm posting stories. I'm usually on the app for when I read (which is a lot) but for some reason, the app won't show any PMs and I have responded to PMs before, so I don't know what the issue is. I'm not on the desktop version often though, so my deepest apologies if I'm really slow in replying but I'll try to be on more often so if you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Anyway, thanks for reading this part and tune in for a part two!
