I ran into the kitchen were the scream came from.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
My mom didn't say anything. She just pointed in fear. I looked in the direction she was pointing in. A roach. This roach looked weird though. It had a white spot on the back, but just one. 'Oh well." I thought. 'It's still a roach'
"Mom! You scared me! don't do that!" I said as I walked over to the roach, stepping in it with my tennis shoe.
Mom breathed out a sigh of relief. "Thanks." she said, and continued cleaning the dishes.
I went back into the living room and sat on the couch, once again. The news was on. I picked up the remote, and was about to turn it when something caught my eye.
They were talking about this rare new disease without a name. "We don't know what it is, but it is highly contagious and had taken over the northern side of Mexico within a month. It is expected to reach the states within the next two months. High tech labs all over the world are working hard at trying to find out what this new mystery disease is, but for now my advice to you is to go out of country and quick. This disease kills you quickly, yet painfully. Officials are going around checking everyone's eyes to look for abnormal coloring. At schools, workplace and airports. If you notice you have a fever, seek medical attention quickly. This is a national warning." The reporter said. Then she said something truly interesting. "There is one thing we know for sure. This disease is started from this rare insect that is becoming more popular. We don't know the name, since it is believed to be a mutation, but we do know that is looks almost exactly like a roach. With a white spot in the back."
