The Ocean is Mine

the water seeps in

"Rose" she hears in the distance "Rose" she starts falling deeper in the water "ROSE" she hears a voice that is unmistakably Raven's. She feels arms wrap around her torso, pulling towards the surface oxygen welcomes her lungs with a sharp intake of its icy breath. "How could you do that what were you thinking!?" His sweet voice rough with worry. "It wouldn't stop Raven it kept calling." She puts her face in her hand, tears drip onto her fingertips. "What do you mean rose" "they keep calling and calling" "You are just tired come on let's get off the deck and go home" Raven stares at her with deep silver eyes that she felt like she could drown in their beauty. Rose realized the voices stopped in the water. An uncontrollable shiver went through her head began to throb beating in her head. Pain shot through her like a bolt making her body crumble and her mind alive. Raven helps her to her feet. Rose shivering her hand going blue, as bolts of pain travel through her body."Come to the water the pain will stop." Rose stops midway in her tracks the same voice again it called out to her . "come to the water the pain with stop" she turned back the blanket falling off she runs back to the edge of the water. She runs to the end of the pier and jumps. The water's cold icy hug wraps itself around her dragging her down deeper, the voice speaks again "you are beautiful my pretty" rose falls deeper as the voice rings in her head. "You can breathe my pretty" rose inhales in the water slipping down into her lungs. The icy temperature making her head spin. The water continued to fill her lungs, but to her surprise wasn't suffocating her. Rather she could breathe. Taking a deep breath she cries into the icy water "What are you?!" For a moment nothing but silence surrounds her before the slick eery voice replies" I am what you swim in my pretty" Shock and confusion fills her body.

"Wait you are the ocean?" 

"Yes my pretty..."

The water moves around her pushing her toward the darkness of the water. Suddenly the water in her lungs began to harden. Her eyes widened as she started to struggle to breathe. Her sight blurred as she began to sink at a faster pace she sank deeper and deeper. A jolt of strength wrapped itself around her waist. She looked up to see Ravens face looking down at her with fear in his eyes. Black blotches clouded her vision. Her body lets go as she blacks out.

She wakes up in someone's warm bed. The scent of almond and peppermint enticed her awake. She knew that smell all to well it was Raven's. She looked across the room and saw Raven staring at her. His silver eyes glowing from the other side of the room. Her eyes glanced down seeing he had no shirt on. Water dripped down his muscles. Rose ripped her eyes away forcing herself to look back into his eyes. "Are you okay?" These simple words make all the worry and pain melt away. "What happened?" "Raven," she asks her voice shaking with pain and tears. "Yes," he replies looking up "do you promise you won't call me crazy?" "Yes what happens rose" "Promise me," she asks looking into his eyes "promise me" "I promise to love, I promise" she takes a deep breath the icy breathe of the air catches her throat. "I heard a voice in my head telling me to go in the water. When I was in the water the voice became calmer, unlike the first time when I was outside of the water. The voice spoke to me" "who was the voice rose"Raven asks, she takes a deep breath looking raven in his eyes "it told me it was the water" she breaks into tears raven " I was taking to the ocean and it talked back".
