Serena's POV
I woke up with my alarm ringing, i turned it off, got up from bed, did my morning routine and then i went downstairs to eat breakfast.
This day is different. I feel so different. It's like i'm new in the place where i am now. I just came home from boarding school in London. I spent a year in there. I decided to come home because i just wanted to. Being away from home is so hard. But today i'm totally glad that i'm home with my family and friends.
I'm Avery Serena Lockwood, I live in Mystic Falls, Virginia, I'm 17 years old and i'm a junior student in Mystic Falls High School. My brother's name is Tyler, he's 18 and a senior. And my parents are Carol and Mr. Lockwood, who is the mayor of Mystic Falls.
"Good morning", i greeted everyone
"Morning sister", Tyler said, he's my brother
"It's your first day of school since you came back from boarding school, are you excited?" Tyler said
"Pretty much, i missed my friends, I haven't seen them since i came back" i said with a sad tone
"Look, you just came back yesterday, you will see them today and i'm sure they all missed you especially Jeremy" he said while wiggling his eyebrows
"Whatever... i'm gonna go" i said after i took my last bite of my sandwich
I admit, i missed Jeremy he is my first love and that will never change.
But i got friendzoned by him
I love him more than a friend
I want him to feel the same way
I hope someday it will happen
"Come on Tyler you're my ride" I yelled at my brother from our driveway
He finally came out of our house. He start the engine and we left our driveway to school.
"Why did you not use your car?" He asked
"I'm too tired to drive, i still have jetlag" I said with an annoyed tone
After 10 minutes, we arrived at Mystic Falls High. It's jampack due to the students hanging outside the campus.
"Its good to be back" I said in my mind while Tyler is looking for a parking space.
After he parked the car, i got out of it and then followed my brother.
"Walk me inside?" I ask
"Sure thing" he said
While walking through the main hallway, i saw my friends that i've been dying to see since i got back.
"Bye ty" i said to my brother waving goodbye to him
"Damn girl you look prettier and sexier" Caroline Forbes said and then giving me a hug
"Serena!!! We missed you so much" Elena said while giving me a hug.
"Hey! I'm so glad you're back" Bonnie Bennet said while smiling at me
"I missed you too guys, i've been dying too see you since i got back" I said
"So, what's your first period?" Caroline asked
"Ummm... I got Chem" I said while scanning my schedule that i got from an email from the school
"That's great" Elena said making my brows furrowed
"Come, we will walk you into your class" Bonnie said
I missed this girls so much. I'm so happy that i came back. I love being here with my best of friends and my family.
I'm a junior student and the three of them are seniors making me the youngest of our group.
" thanks guys, i'll see you at lunch". I said
After that i enter the chem lab where few of students were already there. I knew some of them.
"Goodmorning class" greeted by Mr. Porter
"I see we have a new student" he said while looking at me
"Hmmm. Serena Lockwood i see you're related to Tyler Lockwood. " he asked after he scanned the paper i gave him.
"Yeah he is my brother" i answered
" I see. Take a sit on the second row, your lab partner will be Mr. Gilbert, but i can see he is not around" he said after scanning the room
Holy crap, he is my partner in chemistry.
"Okay class get your book and turn to page 3" mr porter said
We did what we were told to and then out of nowhere...
"Sorry, i'm late" a deep voice said
I did not look up to check who it is because i was busy reading.
"Its ok take your seat" Mr. porter said
He take his seat right next to me. Its him.
I glanced on him. Here he is sitting right next to me. The one and only Jeremy Gilbert.
He was busy on his bag. It looks like he is looking for his book and then his phone fell.
"I got it" i said taking in under the table
Then i give it to him only to find him with s shock face. He looks like he saw a ghost.
"Serena... hey umm you're back" he said
"Yeah i am" i said
"How are you?" He asked not even paying attention to our teacher who busy giving reminders
"I'm fine" i said in a nervous tone
"Ummm... We should listen to the discussion, i don't want to get into trouble for not paying attention" i said while smiling
"Yeah we probably should" he said glancing back to our teacher
Thank god we did not get caught.
Fast Forward.
First day of school is hectic. I just got home with my brother who just dropped me off and then he took off.
I'm currently laying in my bed right now thinking of what happened earlier at school....
"Ok class i see you on thursday"
Thank god this subject is done. I'm ready to leave the room when all of a sudden.
"Hey wait up" Jeremy said
"Can i walk you into your next period? I just wanna catch up with you." He said
"Okay" I said then i smiles at him
While we're walking through the hallway, we talked about things that we missed doing like hanging out and partying.
"Alright i'll see you around" he said when we reached my classroom
"We should hangout sometime" he blurted out
"I think we owe each other a conversation" he added
"Yeah same here" i said
I guess i'm lucky today.
