"Mommy can we go to the beach today?" Luke asked me. "Well that depends on whether you have your swimsuit read?" I said winking. In top speed he turn around to get his swimsuit in his room. "Be careful on the stairs young man. breakfast is ready and waiting for you on the kitchen counter." I called after him. I only got a faint ok in response. When he came down he threw a towel, sun lotion and a couple of things to play with in the kitchen counter. "Very clever mister, here, if you eat this we can go deal?" I said putting my hand out for him to shake. The home phone started ringing which made us look up. "I bet it's grandma" Luke said smartly. I pinched his nose and walked over to the phone.
"Jaspers residence, Evi speeking?" I said.
"Hello honey, how are you?"
"Hi Mom" i said looking over my shoulder to luke whom made a yes gesture.
"I'm fine, how are you and dad?"
"We're fine. do you know who's in the area? I don't want you to do crazy things" She said. "No mom and i don't. I'm not going to you know that! i... i gotta go. Luke and i are going to the beach. we'll call you later, bye!" I said and hung up.
"What was that about mom?"
"Nothing to wory about my love" I said kissing him in top of his head.
"While you finish your breakfast i'll be grabbing some things ok?"
"Okay mom, I love you!" I know you do baby i thought to myself. Walking to laundryroom to pick up my swimsuit. I went to my bathroom and quickly changed into a black short short and a black tank top and a pair of socks got out and walked down stairs to the kitchen. "Wait your going like this? we're going to the beach mom!" Luke said worried but to reassure him i pulled my shirt a bit to reveal my swimsuit. When he saw is he made a o sign. "Ready?" Luke nodden while putting his bowl in the sink. We put our shoes on. I did the last things on the counter in my backback took my carekeys and walked outside. "Wanna sit in the front or in the back?" I asked already knowing the answer. "Front" He exclaimed. "All right then." so i unlocking the car.
The drive to the beach was 45 minutes from our house but we loved rides like these. windows low, music on full blast just talking about nothing and everything. "Lucas?" I said serious.
"Yes?"
"It's gonna be crowded at the beach so i want you to stay close to me and when you wanna play, i want to continually see you. oh and whats our rule when we go out?" "No talking to strangers unless you know them" "Yes good job. If you want something like a snack or food or a drink tell me so we can get it together allright?"
"Okay mom"
Ones we were parked we got out i swung my backpack over my shoulder and started walking with Lucas by my side. "I want a drink frist what about you?" I said looking down. "Yeah, sure!" He said. We got to the little shop and got our selfs a drink payed for it and on our way we were. "Shall we sit here? not to far from the ocean in the sun but still in the shades." lucas allready had put his towel down and sat down to pull his shoes of, got undressed and stood in front of me so i could spay some lotion on him. after a few minutes he asked me if he was ready to play i nodded and pulled my top off and sat down on my towel thinking about what my mother had said when she called. He is in the area, well we live in a big area so no panicking for now. After a couple of hour of Lucas playing in in the sand and going in the ocean he came over and sat down. "Whats wrong?" I asked. "Nothing i'm just hungry" "Wanna grab a snack?" I questioned he nodded yes so i guess i got my answer. I only took the important stuff with me as we walked over to the food stand. I let lucas order what he wanted and i got myself a bag of chips and some skittles Payed for it and we went back to our place in the sand. some time had passed i finally got in the ocean water too but was still to cold for me.
"Lucas where do you wanna eat?" I asked sort of making it clear that i wanted to go. "Pizza at uncle Johnny's!" "You want to eat pizza at uncle Johnny's restaurant?" I said surprised "Well i think Johnny would like that, we haven't seen him in quite some time, good thinking baby." i kissed the top of his head when i caught sight of someone i dreaded to see. I took my backpack and took his hand in mine. "Baby, i want you to stay behind me and be quiet okay?" I said kneeling to his level to look him in the eyes to make him see i was serious. I started walking in their direction luckily only one person saw me. "You guys go on i have to go to the toilet" I heard him say. "shit!" i said "Evi? Evi Jaspers?" "Uuhm Hi Hoseok" "How are you? Its been a while!" He said scratching the back of his head "A while...Hoseok it's almost 7 years since i last saw you guys." "I..I'm so sorry Evi" "You're sorry? From him i'd expected it but from you and the anothers to drop me like i was nothing, like i was a bag of sand!" i said feeling tears well up in my eyes and the shift of tone in my voice caused Lucas to step foward. "Whats going on mom whats wrong?" He asked looking up at me with big worrying eyes "Nothing baby, i... look i'd appreciate it if you don't tell him. Just please don't tell...Joon. i uhm i gotta go!" i said with this big lump in my throat pushing past him "Byeeee" i heard Luke saying behind me. We got to the car and i drove straight to Johnny's place. Lucas got out and i quickly shot my self a glance in the mirror I looked like utter shit. "I thought i saw a familiar car pull up" Johnny said opening his arms for Lucas to run in to them. he looked up at me "Hi buddy, why dont you go and ask if Mark will make you your favourite pizza ey?" He walked over to me embracing me in one of his hugs "Oh baby" He said. "I'm so sorry Johnny, i thought it wouldn't effect as much as it did" i cried into his chest "I know, i know your mom call me this morning " Gosh this woman tho. "I only saw the side of his face and spoke only to Hoseok. I asked him not to tell Namjoon you know" I looked up through my wet lashes "God your ugly when you cry" Johnny said "Yes, well i love you too. I don't know if i'm ready for him to be in my life again. In his life. He dumped me to be an idol and a kid and a girlfriend did not fit his picture. His big ass ego got the best of him and distroyed the second best thing he had and i truly hate him fot that!" I said getting mad "What am i gonna do if Hoseok tells him, Johnny?" "Tell him Lucas is mine" "Thats ridiculous. Have you seen him.... he lookls more like him than he does to me!" I laughed rethinking what just came out of my mouth "Well then tell him he is from Jackson or something, i don't know!" "Are you crazy. These two guys... have you seen their fanbases. It's like a personal god damn army. Lucas and i are gonna get slaughter. And i've never met Jackson so how's that for ya?" Did he really not know the impact it's going to have on Lucas, on me... on them "You know i think it doesn't matter. if ARMY's gets a hold of me or luke we're done whatsoever." "Maybe you should eat first. Sit please okay, thank you. Damn woman" Johnny said walking back already knowing what i want my pizza to be. "Hee John?" I called. "Hmmm?" he murmured popping his head out back "I really do love you, you know" He only blew me a kiss in response.
