Falling for Yuta

Chapter 7 - Why me?

After he left the room, I got a feeling of relief. Knowing that he's gone, and that no one can see us now makes me feel so much better. 

But maybe I'm wrong. 

I hear screaming from outside my room. It sounds like it's coming from the other side of the hallway. I'm curious to what the screaming could be for, but unfortunately, I know what it's for. 

I walk to my door and look through the hole to see what's happening. I get surprised to find not Yuta, or screaming fans, but just a couple of babies crying. They had babysitters with them, I mean couldn't the babysitters find a way to keep them calm, I mean this IS a hotel, and guests pay to feel relaxed and comfortable. 

I try to forget about the screaming and crying and I jump on the couch. I reach for my phone which is placed on the other side of the couch. I grab it with all my strength, and open it. I find 50 missed calls and 10 messages all from Ahn. 

I call Ahn to see what's going on. I'm scared that it might be an emergency. "Maybe something bad happened to her, maybe she's in the hospital", I wonder. 

She answers the phone and screams through the phone. I immediately get worried and ask, "Ahn omg is everything alright? Did something happen?". She replied, "oh my so dramatic. Don't worry nothing happened to me. But guess what did happen. Nct 127 just posted a video talking about their ideal types! Wait I'll send you the link". 

She hung up on me and I went on my chat with Ahn to see the link she sent. I played the video and was surprised to find out that Taeyong is attracted to someone who has a tough image, Jaehyun likes someone who would always depend on him, Doyoung likes someone who is kind to their elders and has manners, Ten likes a tanned woman, Yuta likes someone who has short hair and doesn't try to 'act pretty'. "Wow! Yuta thinks completely different to other guys", I thought to myself. Back to the members, Mark and Winwin like someone who has long black hair, Johnny likes a girl who smiles a lot , Taeil likes someone who also has short hair and prefers cute girls, Haechan also likes a girl with short hair, and he prefers a girl who can sing with a nice voice. And finally, Jungwoo likes someone who is kind. 

I think to myself, "wow nct 127 has completely different ideal types then other members from other bands". I was very interested in what Yuta said. He likes girls who don't 'act pretty'. That is very interesting to me because guys usually like girls who 'act pretty', because they show the best qualities in them. 

Now I have a clearer picture of why Yuta likes me. I do have short hair, and I hate, and I mean HATE acting pretty. I also hate looking at other girls trying to act pretty. It makes me feel weird inside. "Like JUST ACT NORMAL! IS IT SO HARD TO JUST BE YOURSELF?". I just realized that I just bursted that out loud, with no one else in the room. 

It was getting late so I was getting ready to go to sleep when, I get a text from an unknown number. I open the text and it read, "today was fun, can't wait to do this again". I asked, "Yuta?". The person texting was active and texted me back right away. "Mhm", he replied. 

I felt happy that I now had his number. We could talk anytime and we didn't need to hide just to talk anymore. I texted him a ❤️ emoji and turned off my phone. I then went to the bathroom to get my teeth brushed. When I got out, I jumped on my bed, feeling so cozy. I put the blanket over my whole body, revealing my face though, and went to sleep.
