Step two: Don't smile at everyone.

Harry's been wearing the clothes Louis deemed okay and the clothes they bought together. It's not much of a change, but a girl at his table - Annabelle - said she liked the headscarves he wears now. That's something.

It's a Tuesday morning and he's wearing a plain black headscarf, a plain black shirt and his black skinnies. He feels morbid, but it does make him look tough. Louis' leather jacket is hanging in his locker and he's grabbing his textbooks when he feels someone grab his sides. He squeals and jumps, banging his head on the locker shelf again.

"Don't hit your head," he hears a familiar voice chuckle. He turns to see Louis smirking at him and Harry rubs his head pouting.

"That was mean," he whines. He examines Louis quick then and notices the boy's just dressed in grey joggers and a large hoodie. He looks comfy and way better than Harry.

"Boo hoo. Ready for step two?" Louis asks. Harry grins wide and his eyes light up.

"That rhymed," he tells him and Louis groans and closes his eyes.

"Step two: don't smile at everyone. You're too nice," Louis tells him. Harry frowns and shakes his head.

"What's wrong with being nice?" Harry questions.

"Nothing actually, but bad boys aren't generally nice," Louis points out and that's true. Harry sighs and nods his head. He reaches back into his locker and pulls out his books.

"What's your first class?" Louis wonders and Harry yawns a little before he answers.

"Biology," Harry tells him and Louis nods. They both walk down the hall and Harry can feel some people watch them. His clothing caught their attention and now walking with Louis is keeping it. Hopefully this will actually work.

Becky walks by - a girl from his lunch table - and he can't help but smile and wave at her. He shrieks when he feels water on his face and turns to see Louis with a spray bottle. Becky giggles and Louis bites his lip.

"No smiling. You're not nice," Louis tells him. Harry opens his mouth, but nothing comes out. Louis was spraying him like he's a disobedient puppy.

"I know her!" Harry exclaims and Louis shrugs. Becky laughs again and walks down the hall with a small goodbye.

"Your dimples and friendly smile aren't very intimidating, Harry," Louis tells him. They've started to walk again and Harry has a scowl on his face.

"I don't want her to think I'm intimidating," Harry tells him. Louis just sprays him again and Harry sputters and wipes the spray from his face.

"What was that for?!" he squeals and Louis is glowing in amusement.

"Wrong answer. Bad boys want everyone to find them intimidating," Louis explains and Harry rolls his eyes and scoffs. He gets sprayed three more times on the walk because he can't help but smile at people he knows. By the time he gets to class his hair and top of his shirt are damp.

"We're going to the park after school. I'll meet you at your locker," Louis tells him. He starts to walk away and sprays the bottle again as he walks laughing as Harry glares at him.

Harry really hates this. He's been sprayed twice and they haven't even reached the park yet. Louis seems to enjoy spraying him far too much.

When they enter the park Harry tries to keep a straight face, but then a puppy comes over and how can Harry not pet and coo at it? Of course Louis sprayed him.

And then there was the small baby, with her pretty blonde curls and big blue eyes. Harry couldn't help but tell her her sundress was pretty and then after she wasn't looking, Louis sprayed.

"You are so bad at this," Louis laughs as Harry gets sprayed again for smiling at an old couple.

"My mother raised me to be polite," Harry tells him and Louis just hums and walks next to him.

"Mine too, but it makes you seem like a good boy when you go out of your way to be polite," Louis points out. Harry just shrugs and tries to not be too polite. He passes by a man walking his dog and refrains from grinning like an idiot at the dog and Louis actually congratulates him.

"That's not so bad, right?" Louis asks happily and again Harry shrugs. He passes people and talks to Louis, not smiling though he'd like to. It all falls apart when he sees a little toddler waving at him. He waves back happily and again gets sprayed.

"You really need to work on this," Louis laughs and Harry just reaches out and grabs the bottle from him. Louis stops laughing as Harry starts to spray him and then Louis' running and laughing like a mad man as Harry chases him.

"How do you like it?" Harry asks and he's smiling in a teasing way as he catches up to Louis' now stopped figure. Louis snatches the bottle back and pulls off the top and pours the water over Harrys head.

"I quite like the wet look on you, Harry," He snickers and Harry pouts as he touches his headscarf that's now falling down his face.

"I think we're done for today," Harry concludes and Louis shrugs and starts to walk away.

"See you next time!" Louis calls and then he's gone.
