After a few minutes we arrived at their lab. It looks no different then my mom and dads lab. My dad... it hurt to think about what happened and now my dad was dead. It was hard to think that he was gone now. The helicopter I was in landed on a helipad allowing us to get off. As I got off I watched the other three helicopters that held the dinosaur land in a large metal cage before they unhooked the ropes and flew off. My mom got off after me. The scientist got off last as he looked at the large sleeping dinosaur. Mom quickly started rushing towards the elevator and I followed close behind. We went down a few floors before she stormed through doors till she stormed into a meeting where some people from the government were having a meeting. I stayed outside the doors and just watched. "Who's in charge here!" She yelled as she looked at all the people in the room. "I am ma'am and I believe you haven't held an appointment with me" he said calmly as he stood up. "I don't need one" mom said as she stormed over to him and slapped him right across the face. It shocked everyone in the room, even me. "What the hell is wrong with security!? Who's bright idea was it to create another dangerous dinosaur after what happened with the indominous rex years ago!?" She yelled as she glared at him. The man was a bit stunned but faced her with confusion in his eyes. "What dinosuar? I didn't create one nor did the scientists here" he said calmly. Mom looked at him like she was getting ready to slap him again. "Don't play stupid with me! There is a dinosaur that is ten times more dangerous than the indominous rex was. It couldn't have been born naturally so someone had to of created it!" Mom yelled. "We didn't create such a dinosuar, after the indominous rex that is" he said. Mom looked like she was getting ready to loose it. "Then please explain how that dinosaur was able to go unnoticed so it could kill other dino's for sport" mother exclaimed. I watched as he fell silent. "We cannot, because we do not know, recent dinosaur attacks from feral carnivores have weakened us, and patrols have been delayed" he finally said, breaking the silence. Mom seemed like she was going to lose it. "Delayed? why would you delay patrols and not investigate let alone warn everyone else in the area about this!" She screamed. I was a bit frightened and I didn't really want to see what was going to happen next. I began to slowly back away and slip out of the area. I wanted to disappear. "Our village is more important and has to be well protected, we delayed patrols for that reason and this talk about a new dinosaur means that someone else is here and made it" he said sounding concerned. Mom seemed to become more and more angry. "More important.." she trailed off giving no sign on what she was going to do until she did it..... She slapped him again and began screaming again. "You couldn't let anyone else know about these attacks!?! Because of you not giving us any warnings, my husband is DEAD!!!" Her voice cracked a little as everyone in the room got to their feet and watched with wide eyes and faces full of shock. The man grabbed her wrist gently as he stared into her eyes. "Matter of fact, I did. But it seems you didn't come to the meeting" he said calmly. Meeting? My family had no invitation to a meeting. They would have told me if they had one, they always did. Mom looked a bit confused now. "Meeting? I had no acknowledgement of any meeting" she hissed.

I had heard enough. I didn't want to see what could happen next so I slipped out of the rooms and into the hallway unnoticed. I began wondering the halls, my mind traveling from one thought to another. I didn't care where I ended up nor did I care what my mom and that man were talking about. I kept thinking about the strange dinosaur and my dads lifeless body. It hurt to think about that so I stopped thinking about it. My mind traveled to the moment were the dinosaur stared at me. It was like she was staring into my soul at that moment.  My mind then traveled to a few questions I kept asking myself. Why hadn't she killed me when she had to perfect chance. I was frozen, defenseless, and I didn't care what she did to me at that moment. She had a perfect shot that any predator would take. But she didn't take that shot. She just stared at me as I stared back. I wonder is mom has even noticed if I'm missing. I stopped walking when I saw the dinosaur. I had somehow ended up walking all the way to one of the buildings where scientists observe dinosaurs that they hold in the cage like ecosystem. I stopped in my tracks and stared through the large glass window at the dinosaur. She was awake and was sitting down with her head hanging. I don't think I've ever seen a carnivore sad like she is. Probably because dad never allowed me to observe any carnivores without him there which he only stressed them out even if he didn't always mean to. I stared at her hoping by just looking at her would answer some questions that have been ringing in my head all day. I wondered if the reason she reacted the way she did was because she was scared. I couldn't truly answer that question. I looked around making sure no one else was in the hallway before I backed up to the back wall of the hallway and sat down on the ground and watched her, my back leaning against the wall. I don't know why I did so but I just did it. I had nothing else to do and I didn't feel like going back to my mom right now. I watched her as I noticed that her eyes weren't slits anymore. She seemed normal but sad. She bent down, her body to my level as she seemed to lay down and eyed me. It was very hard not to feel bad for her. I knew well that no dinosaur liked being in a cage even if the ecosystem was like their natural habitat. "I'm sorry your in a cage. You don't deserve this" I said with sorrow in my voice. I knew she probably couldn't hear me but I just said it. I watched as she eyed me, her eyes looked calm. I'm not sure if she if I was seeing it right but it looked like she was admiring me. Words just seemed to spill from my mouth for I had no idea what or why I was saying what I did. "No dinosaur deserves to be in a cage, not even dinosaurs that are created." I wondered if she could even hear me but she moved closer and closer to the glass, and licked the glass. I was a bit surprised but a smile fell across my face. I got to my feet and walked over to the glass and placed a hand on the glass as I looked into her eyes. "You aren't like any other carnivore I've met. She seemed to look at her reflection before she looked at me. I fell silent. I wasn't sure what to say nor what to do. I just stood there. She laid down completely as she watched me as well. I was a bit stunned at how she was acting towards me. Most carnivorous dinosaurs would have either attacked the glass or ran off to the other end of the enclosure but this one, she just moved closer and closer and stayed there.

She watched me till footsteps and a voice coming closer. I watched her eyes turn to slits as they traveled to whoever was coming. I looked towards where the sounds were coming from and removed my hand from the glass. I had no where to hide so there was point in trying to. As the men came into view, she roared and turned sharply, her tail slamming against the glass. She was definitely spooked.  I watched her walk away before I backed away from the glass and looked at the incoming men. I watched them and so did the dinosaur. The one thing that caught my attention was the stun gun one of them carried. These two were both scientists and I was worried on what they were going to do. I'm really hoping they weren't going to shoot her with it. I walked over to the one with the stun gun. "Excuse me sir, sorry to bother you but why do you have a stun gun?" I asked as he looked down at me. "Incase this monster gets out" he snarled as he walked to the glass. He wasn't a friendly person and I doubt he cared about anyone or anything but himself. I looked at her with worry in my eyes as she eyed the stun gun. She first tried climbing the walls but only left claw marked before she turned towards the window. She lunged at the window scratching it. I jumped back in shock as the scientist backed away from the window. He placed his gun on his back and watched her. "No dinosaur should be locked away" he said. I was a bit shocked at his words but I knew someone was having the same point of view on a caged dinosaur. "Cant we just let her out? She's not happy in here" I said frowning as I looked at the scientist. "We cant let her out till the boss says so, but I have a plan" he said as lasers sounded out and the scientist then fell silent. The glass began to crack very fast as she tried to get out. I backed away a little from the breaking window incase it shatters. I'm praying that one of the walls of her cage breaks and she's able to get out and run back into the forest. "Get ready to run in 3... 2..." he trailed off as he got ready to run as the glass looked like it was on its breaking point. I was ready to run when the time came. "RUN" he shouted as he dropped his gun and started running as I did when the glass shattered into many pieces. After I was a few yards away but something made me stop and look back at her as she ran towards us, her eyes slit. "Run! do you want to die!" the scientist shouted as he continued to run. I couldn't make my legs move. I was frozen. At this point, my brain had taken over. I wasn't one of those people who had the fight or flight mode built into their brains. I had the frozen part built into my brain. Something clicked. I could lead her out of here. When she wasn't to far behind me I began to run again but I ran to a door that led to the outside and to the forest. I want her to be out where she belonged and where she felt happy. I didn't care that the scientist was calling me to try and get me to turn around as he turned to follow me. Fear wasn't running through my blood, determination was. I was not afraid of her. I respected her just like I respected all dinosaurs. I could hear her catching up but she slid and hit the wall as I turned. She groaned as she shook her head and ran after me again. I felt the scientist grab my hand but I yanked it away. I wasn't going to be dragged around because he was a afraid for his life. I had a mission to do. I heard the emergency sirens going off as the doors began to close. turned away from the scientist and ran under a few rapidly closing doors that would lead outside. I heard the scientist following me but I didn't care. We both slid under one before we were a few feet from the door that opened back outside. I heard the crushing of walls and the dinosaurs agitated roar before she continued. I stopped at the final door and tried to open it only to find it locked. This wasn't good! "Shoot! The door's locked!" I exclaimed "Damnit! She cant get out now ...unless.... she goes through the museum.. the people!" he exclaimed. He really wasn't thinking. We had no way to get there. "And how do you suppose we do that? There's only one way to there and here and a spooked dinosaur is in that path" I stated as he looked around. Suddenly, the lights began to flicker before they shut off. "The roof" he said looking up at the open window. I looked up as well but turned back to the emergency door as I heard her roars. She was at least two doors away which left us with minimal time. I heard her steps as she walked in the dark, people were most likely terrified. "What ever our next move is we better make it fast before she gets so spooked that she accidently kills a lot of people" I said as he began climbing the walls. "My gun.. aw come on! I could've needed that" he sighed. That made me snap. "Oh no!! You are not going to use any gun on her!! That'll only get you killed!" I snapped as I began to climb up the walls after him. "No I wont, I was going to lead her out with it" he said. "Just seeing a gun will make her freak out" I said. "Trust me, if she even sees a gun she will kill even though she doesn't intend to" I said as I recalled what happened with my dad. "It doesn't matter, I don't have it now" he said as he pulled himself up onto the roof. Shoot!! All the other guards have guns! They would definitely use them on her. "There aren't any guards in the building right?!" I asked my voice full of concern. "It's the police, they protect the people here" he said looking at me like I was dumb. "Damn! Their gonna get killed!" If they had guns then they would use them. I started running towards the museum with the scientist following. As I neared it I heard screams and large footsteps.
