Cancer. One word, 6 letters and a million feelings. I'm Becca. I'm 14 and this is my life right now. I currently am in a shocked state; in my bedroom sitting on my bed and thinking about what the doctor said. The doctor said that I had a rare blood cancer, aplastic anemia. I was devastated that my tiny cold that I had was actually so much more. I sit in my room and shake my head and tears start to well up in my eyelids. The teardrops drag on my burning cheeks. My dad comes in and hugs me tight and mom comes in after that. My older sister, Rosalind comes into my room and looks into my eyes and says "I love you." I feel rather awkward to have my whole family in my room but I had to face it: this was my new life... Cancer.
